Fun Valentine’s Day GIft Idea: Collage Pillowgram

This Valentine’s Day, ditch the chocolate and flowers and get your sweetheart something totally unique and different. I recently had the opportunity to make a customized pillow at Collage.com and got my husband a soft and sweet pillow covered with pictures of our snuggly and extremely spoiled dog, Colby. While that may not sound oh so romantic, we always joke about how much we cuddle with our dog, so I thought this gift would be perfect.

Collage.com makes it very easy to design and customize a variety of gifts, including pillows. It is simple and fun to create a pillowgram and took me about 30 minutes to complete the design process online. Choosing the right photos was the tough part since my dog is ADORABLE, but I really wanted to focus on using some of my favorites. The process for uploading photos was so easy and convenient as you can upload them from your computer, Facebook, Instagram, Flickr or the web. You can actually showcase just one picture or as many as 40 if you want.

After I uploaded my photos, I had to settle on a design—the site offers a huge amount of options for color, patterns and shapes. There are actually over 300 shapes, which really allows you to customize and be the designer of your own unique gift. You can even add text and titles if you so desire. I finally settled on a heart-shaped collage with a red background (it IS a Valentine’s Day present) and played around with the photos a bit to get them just right.

The best part is when the pillowgram arrived at my door! I was so impressed by how top-notch the quality of the pillow was (super soft and comfy) and how incredible the pictures looked on the pillow. The pictures were sharp and looked even better than I expected. Here are some of the other features of the pillow:

    I would really love to make one of the photo blankets. My older daughter was recently married. My 7 year old has had a hard time with his sister moving away. I would love to make him a blanket with pictures of them together.
