Let’s face it, we all lead very busy lives these days! Many households have 2 parents working outside of the home and those that don’t..well, they will still tell you that there isn’t enough hours in the day to get it all done.
Here in my home, things are exceptionally hectic on Mondays. It is a work day for both of us and on top of that, we take the wee one to Girl Scout’s every Monday night. By the time we get home, it is late and dinner still isn’t done.

I like to turn to quick and easy recipes that are filling for the tummy and taste delicious. That is where Manwich comes in! Many of you already know that you can add ground beef to a can of Manwich and make sloppy joes but did you also know that you can use that can for many other things too?

One can of Manwich can be used to season a good meatloaf, as a marinade for fish, use it as a burrito/taco sauce and so much more! We like to use it to make what we call Manwich Loaded Baked Potatoes!
We simply brown our ground beef, drain away the grease, stir in a can of Manwich and a can of baked beans…let them simmer for 10 minutes. While that is simmering, we pop some russet potatoes into the microwave and microwave until done. Split open your potatoes and top with some sour cream, butter, salt, ground black pepper and a big spoonful of the Manwich and bean mixture. If desired, sprinkle some cheese on top. Delicious!!!

Manwich is a hearty sauce that is already prepared. It has a little bit of a sweet taste mixed with some tang. It is beloved by adults and kids alike. You can try out the original or go for one of the “stepped” up flavor combinations. One of our favorites is the Manwich Thick & Chunky.
How many of you have made Manwich part of your regular lunch or dinner routine? If so, what is your favorite flavor and how do you like to use it? I remember having this quite a bit in college. I think of it as a comfort meal.
I haven’t had Manwich in years, I think I’ll pick some up the next time I go to the store. Thank you for sharing this post.
I Love Manwich in Browned Ground Beef on a Bun. Delicious. I will put sweet pickles in it some times. Yummy!
I’ve used Manwich bold to make pots of chili – awesome starter
I love the taste of Manwiches. These are such great ideas for additional uses for the sauce. Thanks for the inspiration. “Pinned” 🙂
We love Manwich, too. I haven’t tried the thick & chunky yet, though. I need to look for that.
Manwich is great and can be very versatile. While you can’t go wrong with simple making a sloppy joe out of it, you can be creative with casseroles, pastas, and veggies, too. Instead of spaghetti sauce you can use Manwich….spice things up. Easy and yummy! While not part of our routine, we always keep it on hand.
I haven’t used Manwich in years, but I like all these uses for it, especially on a baked potato. I shall have to buy a can and see what recipes I ca dream up for its use.
We love Manwich! With our busy lives it is nice to come home and fix a meal in a hurry! As much as I love slow cooking, it is just not practical 7 days/week!
Ha! You did like I love to do with Manwich and put it on a potato! It really makes it a wonderful all in one meal. I have to admit to adding cheese to mine- so yummy!
Okay to be honest I don’t think I have ever tried Manwich but I love a nice easy dinner a few nights a week. I will have to give it a try thanks for sharing.
My children have been on their own for a good while now. But, looking back in being a stay at home mom until my youngest, my fraternal twin daughters were 12 and my son was age 16-even then I was very busy. But, I also enjoyed home decor, wallpainting, dying, paintig, some crafting, baking, etc. and with all of the household chores and cooking, there was no time for me then. I loved cooking homemade meals always when I stayed at home. When I went to work, I still enjoyed cooking but sometimes I wouldn’t get home until eight or nine o’clock. By then, they were staved so they did have some of those meals. I would have done more if I could have gotten away with it but they were spoiled with the homemeade meals.I don’t blame you one bit, you hard working momma! Take some time fo you!
