Who doesn’t love lasagne? That rich and creamy pasta dish loaded with melted cheese. Just saying the name brings back memories of this amazing comfort food. Many people are afraid of making lasagne because they think it is hard. Heck, even I was afraid to try it at first, years ago. But knowing that it is all in the construction of the pasta and the sauce, you can do it.
Since I am working a few nights a week right now, my hubby is stepping up and cooking when he can. Last night, he tried out this lasagne recipe that we are thinking of using for a dinner I have to put on next week. I need to make 5 pans of lasagne! I think it came out pretty tasty! Good Job, honey! Ladies if he can make this – trust me! You can too!
Easy Cheesy Lasagne Recipe
2 lbs of ground beef or 1lb + 1lb sweet sausage
1 29 oz can + 1 15oz can tomato sauce
Medium onion, minced
1 Garlic Clove, minced
1 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Pepper
1 tbsp Basil
2 tsp Oregano
1 lb grated Mozzarella Cheese
8 oz Container Ricotta
1 lb box Lasagna noodles
Directions: In a large sauce pan, brown the meat and onion. Drain well. Add in the sauce, and all spices. Let simmer for 20-30 minutes. Sauce should be thick.
Meanwhile, boil the noodles in salted water and drain. (no cook noodles do not do well in this recipe). In a small bowl, mix together the 2 cheeses and set aside.
In a 9 x 13 pan, add some sauce to the bottom of the pan. Lay the noodles down. Add the cheese blend to the top and cover with sauce. Add another layer of noodles and repeat the steps, until the pan is full.
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until bubbling and the top is browned. Serve with salad and enjoy!

This Lasagna looks very good. I worked at Olive Garden, so I think you have a better recipe for it. I heard they changed their recipe since 2006. I used to get the Manicotti Formaggio instead.
This looks so great. I used to work at Olive Garden, but this looks better than that, real Italian!
(Easy Cheesy Lasagne Recipe) I am going to be making my famous homemade lasagna for two of my sons for their birthdays coming up this month. Garlic bread and salad along with it-
This sounds so good. We love it bit hardly ever eat it.
This lasagna looks good. In fact that is what we have in the oven right now for our supper. To me the best part of lasagna is the cheese. The more the better for me.
We love lasagna. This is an easy and delicious recipe.
I think lasagna is such a great dish for a get together. But, 5 pans is sure a big undertaking. The nice think is that it can be made ahead.
5 pans….5 pans!!! Wow, you are brave! Good luck to you. I like lasagna, but my husband loves it. My daughter makes it occasionally, but it can be so time consuming and you want it just right. Good to know that there are easier ways that are still just as tasty.
This Easy Cheesy Lasagne looks delicious, I would use turkey instead of ground beef and sausage and I would add spinach and mushrooms. I can’t wait to give this a try, thank you for sharing this recipe.
Mmmmmm! This sounds so good! I always order lasagna at restaurants, I should just learn to make it myself and enjoy it whenever I want to!
So delicious! I could eat this every night and again for breakfast!
I think boiling the noodles is the worst part of the process. I always seem to break them when I try to take them out of the boiling water. I tried the no cook noodles and they came out rubbery! I’m going to give it a whirl. Thanks for the recommendation.
Looks tasty! I’ve never made lasagne ….I’m one of those people 🙂 I do wanna try this though! I love lasagne and it’s great to have extra and freeze too.
My thoughtful spouse gave me one of those new Crock-Pot Casseroles with the 9×13 pan for Christmas, and I’ve been wanting to make a lasagna in it. Thanks for the inspiration! I love the idea of combining the cheeses; I’ve always put them on separately, which adds to the prep time but which doesn’t really matter much in the final product.
Oh, and good luck making five pans of this. That’s a lot of lasagna!
We Love Lasagna. This recipe is almost like mine except for the Ricotta I never have tried using it. Now I have a recipe that tells me how to use it . Thankyou for sharing your recipe with me. I will pin and make this one..
Lasagna! One of my favorites! This is pretty close to the recipe we use, too. It is pretty easy & definitely tasty!
I will give the Easy Cheesy Lasagne Recipe a try….saw it on pinterest….
This is a delicious recipe to make right now. I love homemade Lasagna and this is an easy recipe to make. Thanks for sharing it!
There may be such a thing as too much cheese, but I haven’t found it yet. YUM!
Lasgana is always good! I like using Italian sausage , then I can eliminate some spices (because I am lazy that way) I always go wild with the cheese too. We love a good ;;asagna.
Looks great and seems ease enough to make maybe later. Thank you, Jerri Davis
