Dining at Buffet Style Restaurants

How many of you enjoy dining at buffet restaurants? Personally, I don’t and I usually avoid them whenever I can. While I know they can be a great money-saver while dining out, I did see a report a few years ago on a local news station that totally freaked me out.

On this particular report – news segment they investigated the cleanliness of 3 local buffet-style restaurants. All three of them failed the grade if you know what I mean.

They found that employees were not washing their hands, food sat out on these buffet tables way too long, cold foods were not cold enough, hot foods were way too cold and that there was a cross-contamination of germs everywhere.

On top of all of that, each of these 3 restaurants had issues with food inspections and customers were getting sick from time-to-time. Ever since I saw that report…I get sick to my tummy just thinking about dining at one of those types of place. Sigh.
