We all know that to stay healthy, we have to keep moving. Sitting still for hours each day takes a toll on our body in the worst way. Whether you work a desk job or spend time at home, movement is critical to your well being. I learned that the hard way and coming back from too much sitting is tough! I have been working hard to keep moving the past year and using exercise dvd’s is a great way to do that, especially in the winter months when it is tougher to get outdoors. I was excited to review a new dvd that just came out from Weight Watchers – 7 Day Tone & Burn. Take a look.

The first routine is called the Burn Workout. It focuses on cardio and will keep you moving with fun, energizing moves that are rhythmic but not complicated. You can do this!
The second routine is called the Tone Workout. It delivers total body sculpting with circuit training designed to strengthen your body as it elevates your heart rate to increase your activity burn.
Each workout offers beginner, intermediate and advanced variations to make it easy to get started and go at your own pace. This is a simple way to start shaping up and a great addition to your weight loss plan!

My Thoughts: I enjoy fitness dvds that are easy to follow and incorporate different ways to work different parts of your body. This new dvd is a great choice since it offers two different workouts that works your body. The cardio one -Burn- works on your shoulders, back, legs, arms, hips, and even your ankles. There is lunges, hopping, jumping and even burpees. It truly works on every part of your body.
The pace is pretty quick and the music is a steady beat in the background, not really for listening pleasure. This is a fast paced workout but it offers 3 different people to follow doing 3 different levels of many exercises. Even if you cannot do some of the moves, just moving to this beat is going to get your heart pumping!
The Tone section offers 2 circuits of the exercises. It works on the legs, arms, shoulders, back and arms. It uses moves like lunges, planks, pushups and fast foot work to tone and burn calories. For many of the exercises, you have the choice to follow the beginner moves, intermediate or advanced. Great workout!
Overall, this is a full body workout DVD. I love the fast paced feel to it but you do need some movement capabilities as you are up and down quite a bit and you can opt to use weights too.

I would use it to increase how much activity I do in a day
I would add it into my weekly routine because it’s always good to give your body something new and changing it up!
I would use the DVD to jump-start my new exercise regime. I would also use it on days I can’t make it to the gym or park to exercise.

Frankly, I wouldn’t use it; I’m just entering this contest to get an entry on another contest elsewhere on the site.
I’m going to use this during my free time during the day and impress my hubby by getting fit. We like to go to BodyPump classes 2x a week, but I need to do more.
Whether I get this dvd or not, I am getting up at 5 a.m instead of 6 a.m. to workout. I think once I get going I will have energy and not need the extra hour of sleep.

I would start using this to get fit by following the exercises of the person on the dvd doing the easiest level and then work my way up to the hardest level.
