sea life quilt setWe bought our home 5 years ago and finally moved into it back in January of 2013. Over the past two years we have been going room-to-room knocking down walls, replacing flooring and updating every room as we go.

A few weeks ago my husband finally finished the remodeling project on one of our small guest rooms and I was needing some new bedding to give it a fresh updated look. Our home is in a coastal home decor style and finding coastal bedding can be a real nightmare.

Lush Decor is a company that I am familiar with. You can find their home decor items at various retailers like Kohl’s, Boscov’s, Sears, Bed Bath & Beyond and others. I bet you have seen their products too!

For this review I selected their beautiful Sea Life 3-Piece Quilt Set to check out for all of you. This set included a full/queen sized quilt and 2 matching pillow shams. The quilt measures 88″ by 92″ in size and each sham measures 20″ by 26″ in size.

The best thing about this quilt set is that it is reversible! One side shows a Sea Life design featuring coral reefs, starfish, fish and other things you would expect to see in the sea! The reverse is a wavy pattern in navy blue, turquoise, ocean blue and white. Totally reminds me of the bedding you would see while on vacation in the tropics!

Coastal Sea Life Quilt Bedding Set

The quilt set is made out of super soft cotton and is machine washable and dry. The pillow shams fit your standard sized pillows and have a zipper closure so your pillow stays nice and snug inside. I washed it right after we got it and it didn’t shrink or fade. It washed up really nicely and felt even softer after laundering.

I would describe it as being a “light-weight” quilt and perfect for Spring, Summer and Fall. If you live in a colder climate, I would suggest placing a blanket underneath it. You could buy some solid color sheets and toss pillows in navy blue which would really complete a nice look for your bed.

Overall, I am really impressed with this quilt set! It is beautiful and washes up very nicely. The quilting is impeccable and I am super pleased with the workmanship and design. A big two-thumbs up!
