As a nice German girl, I grew up with Sunday dinners that consisted of roasts and family meals. I still enjoy roasts and have mastered the preparation that my whole family loves. I am often requested to make my “famous” pork roast for family functions and when we have special guests. This recipe is simple and easy! I know you and your family will love it too.

Easy Pork Roast with Pan Gravy Recipe
Ingredients:
4-5 lb pork roast – I prefer boneless, but whatever is on sale
Lawrys Season Salt
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Fresh Cracked Pepper
2 cups Water
Directions
Season your roast with each ingredient. I do season it well as that is what gives the meat that crusty top. Place roast in a roasting pan, uncovered. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes to brown the roast. Add 2 cups of water to the roasting pan and cover with a lid. Continue to bake about 2 more hours. Check the roast for tenderness. It should be close to pull apart tender. Recover and turn the heat to 275 for an additional 30 minutes to 1 hour for deliciously, tender meat.
Pan Gravy Recipe – optional
To make an easy gravy, use the drippings to make pan gravy by adding two cups of water to the roasting pan to get all of the meat drippings. Sprinkle small amounts of Wondra Gravy Flour (flour works too) into the pan, stirring constantly and vigorously with a whisk, while bringing it to a boil. It will continue to thicken as it boils. Add small amounts of flour or Wondra while stirring to bring it to the consistency you like. Then re-season the gravy with the same seasonings above, as needed.
Serve this with your favorite potato and vegetable and enjoy!

This is a delicious recipe, but I might add onions to the pan and change half of the water to wine to give the roast even more flavor.

This sounds great and looks fairly easy! Yum!!
Yum! That looks so good! I’ve always preferred pork roast to beef. It just seems that beef can come out too dry unless it has a lot of fat in it!
Wow, this looks good! It’s really amazing how much flavor that Lawry’s Seasoned Salt adds to just about everything it touches. Easy enough to make, it looks like, and the gravy sounds great too. Been a long time since I had a good pork roast. but that’s about to change!!!

I want to make this easy Pork Roast with the Pan Gravy. It looks very delicious and a hearty family dinner that I am going to make on Sunday!
My mom was all about the beef roast, usually on Sundays, after church. Loved the smell of the carrots and potatoes roasting. We never ate much pork roast but remember Mom having pork chops. My grandma was a school cook and made a great gravy.
We must have thee same heritage thats nearly the same as I make! I love using Lawrys too I think that adds the very best flavor and this is so good.
This looks amazing.
It seems like forever since I have had pork and this sure does look good and I am all about easy cooking. I think I will have to try this one thanks for sharing.
