Bunny's First Spring by Sally Lloyd-JonesMy grand daughter is in Kindergarten and reads at a second grade level. Matter of fact, she loves to read and I contribute her love for reading to the simple fact that we exposed her to wonderful books at a very young age.

Today, I am going to share some information with you about a brand new children’s book that will be released on January 15th, 2015.

Title: Bunny’s First Spring

Bunny's First Spring by Sally Lloyd-Jones

Book Synopsis: Winter can seem dark, gray and bleak, but Spring is a symbol of God’s promises of life renewed. Bestselling author Sally Lloyd-Jones, with help from illustrator David McPhail, celebrates Spring as a season of rebirth in the delightful picture book Bunny’s First Spring. When a bunny is born in spring, he sees the world as green and new and full of hope. But as the seasons change, the bunny worries that the earth may be dying. But, nature speaks to the bunny, assuring him of something more.

My Thoughts: We received a promotional copy of this children’s book to review for all of you. Gia loves to read books and I am always looking for new books to give to her. This book is just wonderful with a very nice story line for young children to understand. I love that it is a christian book but it doesn’t scream religion to you.

The illustrations throughout this book are just beautiful! Seriously, some of the best illustrations in a children’s book that I’ve seen in a very long time. The story is an easy read for my grand daughter who is 5 1/2 years old. Each page has only a few sentences on it so it’s not a time-consuming read like a chapter book.

It is a great addition to Gia’s library and with Spring and Easter just around the corner, I think it would make a wonderful gift for any child on your gift-giving list. (hint: think Valentine’s Day, Easter and Birthdays).
