This is very important and like you said shouldn’t be taken lightly. It’s a hard decision and one that I hope is thought about deeply. Everyone needs to make this decision for them. Some of the statistics are hard to take though. There are both sides, but I do believe women can have both and should do what is best for them and their family.

I am not surprised by these statistics. It can be very hard to have to choose . I think that this is why so many adult children are licking with their parent -so that their parents can take care of the kids. It is also why a lot of moms try to work from home.
Some of those stats are shocking. I know that pregnancy is a difficult workplace issue. However, I also know that we were never able to discriminate in our hiring process. It was hard though. I did hire someone who disclosed she was pregnant. Didn’t’ seem like a problem at the time, but I sure missed her when she was off on medical leave 🙂
