Convert Any Drinking Glass into a Spill-Proof Kid’s Cup with SipSnap

December 29, 2014 by Classystaff

Convert Any Drinking Glass into a Spill-Proof Kid's Cup with SipSnapHave you ever dined in a restaurant with a small child and forgot to bring a sippy cup? Even if the restaurant gives you a cup with a lid and straw, if the child knocks the cup over, the top comes off and the beverage and ice go everywhere!!

Sativa Turner and Michelle Ivankovic are two mothers, friends and product designers who live on different continents but created their company Double Double to create products that make the lives of mothers and fathers much easier. Their first product was the SipSnap which is a one-size fits all sippy cup lid. It is made out of high quality LFGB approved food grade silicone and can stretch to fit any cup. It is BPA free so it is very safe for your children. They also make a spill proof straw lid for older children.

I was given the SipSnap Tot cover to review. When it arrived, it was in a small flat box and inside there were three different colored SipSnap Tot covers and a plastic carrying case that you can insert one SipSnap into and keep it in your purse or diaper bag.

We tried the SipSnap Tot with my granddaughter and it works great. She was able to easily drink from the SipSnap and even when she knocked the cup over nothing spilled out! I recommend using a plastic cup when you use the SipSnap so that if it does get knocked over you will not have to deal with broken glass even though the silicone is somewhat protective.

The colors of the SipSnaps are vibrant. The sets are called Rise and Shine (yellow, pink and red), Blue Quench (different shades of blue) and Sandbox (red, green and teal). The spouts are chew resistant, and if the cup is tipped over, it will not roll far due to the built-in roll stop “bumper”. Each SipSnap rolls up into itself when not in use and they are stackable! So instead of having a dozen sippy cups you can have a stack of SipSnap lids in your kitchen cabinet. They are also easy to clean and are dishwasher safe.

SipSnaps are going to make my life easier when dining with my granddaughter and I will be looking into purchasing the SipSnap Kid spill proof straw lid when Aubrey gets beyond the sippy cup stage.

If you are looking for an alternative to a sippy cup, SipSnap is the way to go! I’m looking forward to seeing what products Double Double comes up with next!!

I love these vibrant colors. It is great that these stretch to ft any cup and that they have something to prevent them from rolling too far.

I love this idea! I really didn’t like having a cabinet full of sippy cups for my older daughter… these would have been perfect to use with our regular glasses. I’d love to try them!

This is such a wonderful idea. I can’t believe that I have not noticed these before. These will sure make life easier when the little ones are visiting.
