I love to walk. When my son was in elementary school, we would walk everyday to school back and forth. It was exactly a mile to and from so I was doing it twice a day, with some extra round abouts too. Most days, that would give me a 2-3 mile jaunt. I felt great! Then my son got older and I was not allowed to walk with him any more. I started this blog and other writing work, my walks got fewer and further between. Now I am scrambling to reestablish my walking routine and to get fit again. I love the Leslie Sansone DVD’s because it takes away any excuse I may have to not go outside and walk. I was pleased as punch to find a new DVD for me to try out and review this winter. Check it out.

My Thoughts: I enjoy the way that Leslie sets up these workouts on this set. The music keeps you moving and the steps are pretty classic with not a lot of hopping or jumping. She starts off slow with the 20 minute set with her straight forward walking moves. At a brisk pace you will feel your heart pumping.
The 30 minute set is also a classic Leslie walk but she does add in a new move that is easy to follow for the most part. It does add one small hop of sorts in it, but you can just walk through that section and get the same benefits.
The 40 minute walk adds in some boosts and arm work. Again, her classic style will allow you the get your heart rate up without a lot of hopping or jumping. The music is great and keeps you going.
I love that this dvd is set up to offer 3 different walks. You can mix and match them for a great workout any day. This is perfect for all ages and adds a great alternative for those longer walks you want on certain days when you feel great. Even if the weather outside is crappy, you can get your walk on with Leslie.
