I make it no secret, I love to cook. Seriously, I love to be in my kitchen whipping up delicious foods for my family to enjoy. I like to cook and bake all kinds of different cuisines as long as they are easy-to-prepare.
Recently I was introduced to the Spike Brand Seasonings and instantly fell in-love with all of the easy-to-use seasonings that the company has to offer. One of the things I really enjoy about their products is that they are all-natural. Anyone can be a gourmet chef!
I received a package of 10 seasonings right before Thanksgiving. Since I was preparing a feast for my dinner guests, I decided to use a few of them in my Thanksgiving Day recipes. Here is what I received:
* Vege-Sal Magic
* Onion Magic
* Garlic Magic
* 5 Herb Magic
* All Purpose Salt-Free Magic
* All Purpose Original Magic
* Tenderizer Magic
* Lemon Pepper Magic
* Vegit Magic
* All Purpose Hot ‘n Spicy Magic
First up…the All Purpose Original Magic Gourmet Natural Seasoning which I used to season our turkey. This seasoning can be used on just about everything from meats to vegetables and everything in between. We like a lot of seasoning on our poultry so I just went to town with it. Once our turkey was done baking, I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it tasted. The flavoring went way down into the meat and just didn’t lay on the surface.
When I whipped up the batch of homemade bread stuffing I added in 1 1/2 teaspoons of the Spike 5 Herb Magic Gourmet Natural Seasoning to my recipe. This particular seasoning contains Sweet Basil, Oregano, Marjoram, Thyme and Rosemary which is perfect for a homemade stuffing recipe. You can also toss it into soups, stews, sauces and dressings. Add as little or as much as you would like!
Everyone at our Thanksgiving table raved and raved about the food this year.
A few days later I whipped up some homemade Beef Enchiladas and I used the Spike Hot ‘n Spicy Magic Gourmet Seasoning in my recipe. You can add just a little bit if you want a little heat or really add a lot if you like it on the hot side. I went medium with it and was pleasantly surprised that there was HEAT but not overly hot & spicy (mouth-burning). It had a nice flavor to it that we all really enjoyed.
The Spike Vege-Sal Magic Gourmet Natural Seasoning is a great all-purpose one that you can sit on your table or counter top in-place of salt. Hubby loves sprinkling this on his meat, fish and baked potatoes. Once he tried it, he has been sprinkling it on all kinds of different things!
So far, I am really impressed with the Spike Gourmet Natural Seasonings and looking forward to trying them all over the next several weeks. You can visit the company’s web site to learn more about them, their products and to get some delicious recipes and tips.

(Jazz Up Your Foods with Spike Seasonings) My husband would have a lot of fun using these great spices for all his cooking in the kitchen-
All of these look good to me. The salt-free looks great, since my Mom is supposed to use very little salt in her diet.
I havent seen these yet… are they salt based? I am trying new recipes that are lower in sodium and boy is it sometimes tough! Hubby had a heart attack so it means less saalt. I am using the no salt seaonings and if they are low or no salt I am going to find them!
Spike is a brand of seasoning that I am not familiar with but looking at their selection of seasonings I would love to give it a try. I’d like to try the Vege-Sal Magic, the Garlic Magic, the Vegit Magic, and the All Purpose Hot ‘n Spicy Magic. Thank you for sharing this review.
These spices sounds great , especially the Vegge-Sal MAgic to replace salt on the table and the Original which penetrated the turkey meat so well.. But I am sure I would also like the 5 herb and onion spices too.
I would love to try the veggie sal magic one that sounds really good on meats.
Spike is a blast from the past and not sure when my mom first started using it. I know Gayelord Hauser who invented it was an early nutritionist to the stars (Hollywood in the 30s). I studied and practiced nutrition in the 80s so read about him. Glad to see they have all sorts of gluten free options. He would be proud.
Wow these sound great! I always have to have a bunch of seasonings in my kitchen to cook with. the Spike 5 Herb Magic Gourmet Natural Seasoning sounds like it would be my favorite. I checked out their site and I found a few recipes I am going to give a try.
thank you for the reivew.
