Peppa Pig Peppa’s Christmas DVD

November 8, 2014 by Classystaff

peppas christmas dvdPeppa Pig is the star of a children’s television show featured on Nick, Jr. She was created by Mark Baker and Neville Astley. Peppa’s Christmas DVD features Peppa Pig and her family: Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig and her little brother, George. All the characters in the stories are animals that talk, wear clothes, live in houses and drive cars.

The stories are narrated by John Sparkes who adds the comments that add to the action and humor “Oh, dear” when something unfortunate happens (when George starts to cry) or “Be careful!” when a character is doing something that could hurt them.

Peppa’s Christmas DVD contains twelve different stories. Each story runs about five minutes in length. The stories are active enough to hold your child’s attention but short enough to coincide with their attention span.

Peppa’s Christmas is a story about Peppa’s family getting ready for Christmas. Peppa and her friends are posting their letters to Father Christmas. Each of her friends tell what they asked for. Mr. Zebra comes to pick up the letters and leaves for the North Pole. Then Peppa Pig and her family go in their car to pick out a tree from Mrs. Rabbit. They pick the biggest tree and Daddy Pig has to carry it home because it is too large for their car. The story continues with the family decorating the tree and celebrating Christmas together.

Peppa Pig and all the characters speak with a British accent which is interesting to listen to. The characters all care a lot about each other and have great fun with simple things. Peppa Pig’s family is very loving to each other and there is always a lesson to be learned.

This would be a wonderful DVD for your family to use to get into the holiday spirit. This DVD could also be watched throughout the year, as there are other stories that do not have a holiday theme such as Pirate Island, The Long Grass, Pen Pal, School Bus Trip and Granny and Grandpa’s Attic.
