We hosted Thanksgiving and it was great. Also for the first time ever we went to a couple stores on Black Friday.
We do Thanksgiving dinner at my home and I cook all day… I’m too pooped to do Black Friday.

We went to my brother and sister in-laws for Thanksgiving and had an amazing feast! I chose not to do any Black Thursday/Friday shopping because it just seems like a huge waste of time and energy and a lot of stress. I never seem to get what I went there to get and you can get just as good deals on cyber Monday without even leaving your recliner or your pjs!

We went to daughter in laws mom’s house. My husband went out Thursday night for one thing that we practically got free but he was in and out of store. They should NOT be open on Thanksgiving nor should any store be opened on holidays. Not fair to employees.

For Thanksgiving I cooked and baked at home, starting early, and using healthful options…had the feast in the afternoon at home, then spent the evening with friends from out of town. For Black Friday, I do not participate, but I did make two spontaneous online purchases…wasn’t looking for deals but followed up on an email from a site I frequent.

We enjoyed a big dinner layout with the family. It’s frustrating to find that the sales are not as special as they used to be. A few limited really good deals that I’m not going to camp out to get. The other sales were often a sale, but the same sale price that ran last month. It seems like Black Friday gives permission for people to go shopping.
