** 2014 Holiday Gift Guide **
Today I would like to introduce you to the company called HearthSong who sells a large variety of high-quality toys that you can feel good about giving to your children or as gifts to children you know. What I really love about HearthSong is the fact that their toys and games are creative, unique, well-made and totally affordable! For my review I received the Castle Building Play Set which is absolutely fantastic! My photos are not that great because we have it sitting in our family room which is partially being remolded and getting new lighting. There are 2 versions available – A Princess version for little girls and a Knight Castle for little boys. It is for children ages 3 and up.

We sat down one evening and left our 5 1/2 year old grand daughter help us assemble it. It took us about 25 minutes to get it fully done. Everything was really easy to assemble, nothing complicated at all.
With the Princess Castle you get a large castle, a horse drawn carriage, several animal figures and four princess dolls to play with. The castle has designs on all four sides…so no matter how you are looking at it, there is something pretty to see. I love that it is light-weight and we can move it easily from the family room to the bedroom for her to play with.
This is a great item to encourage creative play. We find that she will sit quietly for hours at a time playing with her new castle play set. It is amazing the things she “dreams” up to do with it and really has a good time with it. I call it “creative storytelling” because she is always telling a story with the play set as she plays. It is fantastic and we highly recommend it.

The Deluxe Heavy-Duty Backyard Tetherball Game looks great
