Holiday Baking with Lucky Leaf with Recipe for Cherry Crisp

lucky leaf pie bakingThe holiday season is here again and that means I will be spending a lot of time in my kitchen baking up some delicious treats for the holidays. I love to make & bake a wide variety of Christmas cookies, cakes, candy, pies and desserts. Yup, I love to bake!

Lucky Leaf is here to help take a little of the holiday stress by helping you spend a less time in the kitchen and a little more time enjoying your creations with your loved ones.

Recently Lucky Leaf sent me a beautiful stoneware pie dish from Pampered Chef and 3 cans of their delicious pie fillings so I could whip up some tasty treats for my family.

The first thing that I made was a Blueberry Pie with a Puzzle Top that my hubby just loves & had been requesting. You simply pour your Lucky Leaf blueberry pie filling into an unbaked pie crust and then rip up the dough from the top pie crust and place it on top in small pieces. Bake it as normal. By making a puzzle top, you don’t have to worry about venting your pie!

Super easy Cherry Crisp Recipe that your family will love. You will need 3-4 Ramekins for this recipe.
Ingredients
  • 1 can Lucky Leaf cherry pie filling
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup Quick Oats Oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Spoon pie filling into the bottom of ramekins, filling them 1/3 full. In a medium sized bowl mix together the softened butter, quick oats and brown sugar until combined. Spoon the oatmeal mixture over the top of the pie filling.
  3. Bake in the oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until done.

The next thing that I made was a homemade Cherry Crisp. I like to bake our cherry crisp in little stoneware ramekins which is great for helping you to keep portion control in check. Here is the recipe for that.

I still have the can of apple pie filling that they sent to me and next week I will be making an apple pie once we gobble up all of the goodies I just made. I love using Lucky Leaf pie fillings and they are indeed my preferred brand!
