When we are hosting our parties I like to turn to HOMEGATING.com for recipe ideas, party planning and for some football fun! After all, they are the experts when it comes to HOMEGATING!

Recently we held a HOMEGATING party here at our home and had several guests over for the festivities. Since our party was sponsored by Wholly Guacamole…we served a ton of delicious treats featuring their products.

soft pretzels with guacamole

One simple idea that went over well was the soft pretzel sticks that guests dipped into the classic guacamole dip! The entire tray that I made up was gone in less than 10 minutes. They all told me that they had never thought about dipping soft pretzels into guacamole but now that they have tried it, they are hooked! Quick and easy!

Another idea that went over really well was Guacamole Deviled Eggs. I’ve made these deviled eggs many times over the past 2 years and when we host our parties, they are always requested by our guests in attendance. Adding the guacamole to your yolk mixture really adds a nice flavor to them.

Guacamole Deviled Eggs
Recipe Type: Appetizer
Author: Shelly Hill
Very easy to prepare and a nice twist on the classic deviled egg recipe.
Ingredients
  • 2-3 Tablespoons of Wholly Guacamole ~ Classic Style
  • 3 Tablespoons of Low-Fat Mayonnaise
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Dijon Mustard
  • pinch of salt
  • pinch of ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 6 hard-boiled eggs, sliced in half + yolks
  • *optional: finely chopped chives and/or ground paprika
Instructions
  1. I placed the 6 cooked egg yolks into my manual food processor along with the mayonnaise, mustard, salt, pepper, granulated sugar and then added the guacamole. You can add as much or as little guacamole that you would like but I typically add 2-3 tablespoons per 6 whole eggs. I use my Quick Chef as it does a nice job at chopping and mixing it all together but you can certainly use just a fork and spoon to mash and mix your egg filling. Once your filling is nice and creamy use a butter knife to place it into your egg halves.
  2. Serve immediately or refrigerate them until serving time. If desired…you can sprinkle some paprika or finely chopped chives on top of each egg half. Enjoy!

Breakfast Burrito Made with Wholly Guacamole

In addition, we had 4 guests that stayed overnight after our party and the very next morning we made some homemade egg, bacon & cheese breakfast burritos and guacamole was the #1 condiment added to them. Oh my….they were delicious!
