This unit runs by 4 D size batteries. I placed it in my fridge on grocery day when I knew there was a lot of different foods and competing smells. The unit is easy to use and it blinks with a green light to show that it is still working. After just a few hours, the smells in the fridge were lessened greatly. By the time it had been in there a few days, there wasn’t any dominant smell at all.
With the holidays coming up, I think we all end up with a ton of food in our fridge that needs to last. Wow! I’m amazed and very interested. I’ve heard of containers to help stretch out fruit and produce but nothing like this. My daughter loves fresh fruit and vegetables, but it gets expensive and often starts getting bad way before we are ready. How wonderful to make them last longer.
It is such a good idea to help stop food wastage. I hate having to throw out food so this sounds like a wonderful addition to my fridge.
