Several weeks ago we took our little grand daughter Gia to ZooAmerica here in Hershey PA for an afternoon of fun. Every year since she was born we have made it an annual tradition to take her to the zoo in Hershey. She loves visiting the zoo!!!
Our little zoo is much smaller than most zoos across America but we still love going! On this particular outing she got to see river otters, prairie dogs, eagles, owls, a skunk, a few snakes, turtles, black bears, ducks, swans, Canadian lynx, an alligator and several other animals.
One of her favorite things to do at ZooAmerica is feed the ducks which costs us a quarter for a handful of corn. Another thing she likes to do is get a bowl of dippin dots to much on after we are all done seeing the animals.
This photo shows her in front of one of their displays that says “How Do You Measure Up?” and we thought it was quite comical when she said she is bigger than the bird!
So, there you have it! Another “Almost” Wordless Wednesday photo for this week! Do you like visiting zoos? Got a favorite one you like to visit?

This is a wonderful photo with Gia’s arms outstretched trying to imitate the wingspan of the bird. We have always loved going to almost any zoo with or without our kids. It is always fun to feed any of the animals.
First of all, I think it’s wonderful that you get to spend so much time with your granddaughter. And from the photos you post, you all enjoy that time to the fullest. This picture is so cute!
Awesome picture, would be great to get more as she grows up next to the same sign. We love taking our kids to the zoo, they love the animals, and love when they can get up close and personal with them, especially when we take them to the farm.
🙂 She is close to those wing sizes! I always loved feeding the ducks and for a quarter, its so much fun!
