Movie Review: The Dead and the Damned – Zombies Galore!

The Dead and the Damned Movie DVDMy husband and I are HUGE Zombie movie fans and have amassed quite the collection in the DVD department. Plus, we are big fans of those “zombie” TV shows too. If I had to guess, we own over 50+ DVDs all centered around zombies!

On October 7th a new DVD movie release is coming called “The Dead and the Damned 2” which features a post-apocalyptic world where zombies attack the remnants of humanity, one survivor must save an entire town from the living dead.

In this high-octane sequel, in a savage land where zombies roam freely, Lieutenant Colonel Sawyer is armed with machine guns, body armor and adrenaline-pumping fearlessness. On a mission to give his fallen family a burial at sea, he must first enter a quarantined, infected zone & fight through hordes of bloodthirsty zombies before reaching the coast.

Once in the quarantined zone he encounters a small group of survivors including a young woman who is the target of both the male survivors and the ravenous, hungry zombies. To protect the last non-infected humans & complete his “family” burial mission, Colonel Sawyer must face the dead, the damned and the darkness.

Along the way he meets up with several unsavory characters who want to stop him every chance they get. There are a few ‘friendly’ characters who do their best to help him along the way and he does make a few friends.

This zombie movie is very intense and very graphic so if you don’t like blood and gore…this probably isn’t the movie for you. Definitely not one that you want to watch with the little kids in the room but not overly scary for those of you who like zombie movies like me!

It is absolutely fantastic and Colonel Sawyer does end up making it to the coast…but does he succeed with his family’s burial at sea? Does he survive or does he meet his death? Is his family really dead or did one or all of them survive? Well, I am not going to tell you because I don’t do spoilers! hahaha! With that said, we love this movie and it is a GREAT addition to our collection.
