For the past several weeks I have been reviewing a variety of great beauty products from Mary Kay and today, I am back to talk to you about the Mary Kay Semi-Matte Lipsticks. Have you ever tried them?
The company sent me two of their semi-matte lipsticks to try out for all of you. I got one in the Ruby Rubis shade and one in the Pink Rose shade. I don’t wear lipstick every day but when I do go out for special occasions, I like to wear a little bit. With that said, my mom is a big lipstick user so I gave both of them to her to try out for us.
Mom just turned 65 so she is very selective on the type of lipsticks she chooses and which shades she selects. She doesn’t do bright reds or funky colors at all which she says are not age appropriate. Regarding these 2 shades, mom says they are perfect neutrals for any age and can be worn daytime or for a night out on the town.
In addition, she loves a “matte” finish. She isn’t into those shiny ones or glittery ones at all. She is all about “matte” or “semi-matte” finishes. She said it glides right onto her lips and after application her lips feel very smooth, not sticky or wet.
She really likes that this lipstick won’t feather or bleed and found that she could skip the lip liner completely while wearing them. Furthermore, they are long lasting and she only had to re-apply them once throughout her day.
Mary Kay has beautiful semi-matte and satin finish lipsticks for a really great price. She said they are well-worth the money and she thinks you ladies would be very pleased with them.

These sound like the perfect lipsticks for me – matte and not flashy and it is great to be able to skip the lip liner.
