The relationship that we have with the pets in our family is a special one. We love them & we treat them just like our kids & our grandkids. We invest in this relationship and we want our pets to live long, healthy and happy lives.
Recently I started reading the labels on pet food and was horrified at some of the ingredients I saw listed. I had never given it much thought until two months ago. Now that I am an informed consumer & pet owner, I am making much better decisions on the foods that I feed to our pets.
Let me introduce you to Purina® Beyond® Natural Dog Food which we recently had the pleasure of trying with our dog Lily. This particular one is the “Adventure” formulation which is grain free, no artificial flavors, dyes, colors or preservatives and contains no poultry by-products It is the “Tuna & Egg Recipe”.
They include real meat, poultry or fish as their number one ingredient in all dry food and pate formulas. As a pet owner, that is important to me. Pet nutritionists’ craft it, so you know you are providing an excellent, safe and healthy option for your pet.
Here is a tip for all of you: When changing your dog’s current food it is important to do it slowly. You will want to add in a little of the new food with the dog’s regular food and keep increasing the new food until you have your dog completely switched over. This will help to avoid any type of GI upset with your pooch.
As I previously stated, we received a complimentary bag of the new Purina® Beyond® Adventure Natural Dog Food to try out with Lily. Over the perioud of two weeks we made the transition quickly and easily. She experienced no GI upset along the way.
When it came to meal time, Lily was much more excited with this new dog food than with her previous one. I think she really likes having “meat” as the number #1 ingredient. Not only that, it smells good to the human owner and to the dog. Plus, it has added vitamins and minerals to help keep her healthy & strong.
