Today I would like to introduce you to the company called Educational Insights based out of Southern California. Educational Insights is the manufacturer of playful products with serious educational value, including subject-specific classroom products, teacher resources, educational toys, and games. We received the “Kitten Caboodle” game to review for all of you and let me tell you, this simple game is a lot of fun!  It is for ages 5 and up and for 2-4 players.

Kitten Caboodle Game from Educational Insights

Object of Game: You are in charge of a caboodle of kitties and they all have different needs. Collect the cards that perfectly match a kitty’s needs and the kitty is yours. Adopt the most kitties and you win!

How to Play: Ask another player for a specific card or draw a card from the card deck. Collect three cards that match the three things a cat needs, and you get to adopt that specific cat! Continue play until all pets are adopted. Count your kitties and the player with the most cats is declared the winner.

Our Thoughts: Our little grand daughter is 5 years old and our god son is 7 years old. The two of them play very well together especially when the game or toy is age appropriate for both of them…like this game!

We sat down with the two kids recently and played this game together as a family. What I love about it is that its an “easy” game with an “easy” concept that they both were able to grasp quickly. It didn’t take an hour or more for them to understand how to play it.  Next, we found that each game took us less than 20 minutes to play. We like that the game play goes by really quickly so in an hours time, you can easily play 2-3 games or break it up into “rounds”.

As a grandparent, I love that the instructions are also printed on the cute storage box, nothing to lose! The game is small & compact which makes it nice for traveling or sleepovers to grandma’s house. Fun, Fun, Fun!
