Do You Dress Up for Halloween?

October 17, 2014 by Shelly

halloweennightIt is hard to believe but its October 17th already and Halloween is just around the corner. How many of you are ready for it? We are! We got our costumes ready to go, candy buckets are filled with treats for the little ones and the house is all decorated. So much fun!!!

My doctor is a big Halloween lover and every year she goes WAY OUT decorating the inside/outside of her home and for the entire week leading up to Halloween she will wear a different costume and special jewelry into the office to entertain all of her patients. I look forward to seeing at least one of her costumes every year!

So, that leads me to our daily topic for discussion today or I guess I should say, the question of the day.

Do you dress up in a costume for Halloween? Is it the same one every year or do you go out every year and get a new one? For those who do dress up do you dress up as your favorite character, something cutesy or do you really spook yourself out with something creepy?

I would love to hear all about it!

When my kids were young I used to dress up, but now I just have a few Halloween pins with flashing eyes that I wear to entertain the trick or treaters as I hand out the candy.

I have 2 costumes that I like to wear around Halloween time. A pumpkin that is easy to wear and a banana costume that makes people smile.

I love to dress up for Halloween but I haven’t dressed up in a very long time. Your doctor sounds cool I would love to see her costumes. I remember one year I was on my way to work and I was at a red light and Big Bird was driving the car at the next me that just cracked me up.

We a HUGE on Halloween, it has been that way since I grew up, I always remember my parents and me decorating the house inside and out, and we all dressed up, so I have carried this tradition on in my own family. The kids, my husband, and I all dress up. We usually get new costumes every year and donate the old ones. We love it, it’s very fun for us.

I love the fall colors and scents so I like to decorate with pumpkins and wreaths. We all have Halloween shirts and flashing pumpkin earrings but no official costumes. My grandchildren will of course. We love giving out candy and seeing all the neighborhood kids in their costumes. My daughter likes to make a lot of Halloween treats including Ghost cookies, witches hats, and this year she is going to try bloody eyeballs. Always yummy. Haha!

No we dont dress up or do many things on Halloween anymore. It used to be we would go to hubby’s Garndparents house because it was his Grandpas birthday. We dont even leave the house on Halloween we got robbed one year.

I love dressing up for Halloween. I have lots of pics on Pinterest of makeup tutorials although I find the blood and wound tuts more fascinating than anything! Some sort of horror princess is in the works.

I usually do not dress up or do much for Halloween, but somehow this year we ended up with two really big and fun events that we can’t get out of. Also, my fiancee is a huge halloween fan and I happen to have everything to dress up as Wednesday Addams, so it is happening this year!
