Taking to the Sky in a Helicopter

September 3, 2014 by Shelly

helicopterGood morning everyone! Well, my last official day of work for the next 10-12 days or so. Jenelle’s wedding is less than 3 days away and we still have a lot to do! We have the rehearsal tomorrow and then the rehearsal dinner on Friday. Saturday is the big day!!! We have family coming into town today who will be staying for a week. Sigh, by the time it is all over…I will need to sleep for a few days! LOL

Today’s Topic: How many of you have ever taken a ride in a helicopter? For those of you who have…did you enjoy it? Is it something you would do again? For those of you haven’t…why not? Fear of flying or just not interested?

The helicopter shown above was flying low over our house last weekend and I thought it was a little too low. I thought for sure he was going to get caught up in those wires! Scared the peeps out of me!

Have a great Wednesday everyone! You will see me around and if you want to see the wedding festivities from time to time…check out my FB page or the TCC FB & Twitter stream! wootwoot! Let the party begin!

I have never been in a helicopter . I think that I might enjoy the ride, but it just never came up. I would love a helicopter ride over a volcano in Hawaii. I should put it on my bucket list.

Best of luck, Mother of the Bride! I’ll keep a good thought for you, your daughter, and the rest of your family as you prepare for and enjoy this special time.

As for helicopters, I’ve never even been near one. I guess I’d go for a ride if I had the opportunity, though. Here on the coast, it’s scary when the Coast Guard helicopters go overhead, because there’s a good chance that they’re heading out on a search and rescue for some poor soul. Sometimes lobster boats are seen motoring in a small circle, which nearly always means the crew (sometimes just one person) has gone overboard, and they don’t stand much of a chance in these cold Northern waters.

Congrats to the winners. Happy wedding!
I’ve been up in helicopters several times. The most impressive was a ride over the volcano on the Big Island in Hawaii.

Boy sounds like you have a super busy week this week. I have not flown in a helicopter and to tell you the truth I really don’t want to. I have been skydiving a few times but there is something that I do not like about helicopters they are super dangerous.

    Congrulations to the winners.

Yikes good luck on the wedding countdown. So happy to win vitamins from Puritan’s Pride–love those guys. No, never been on a copter but get lots of that from nearby Burbank airport. Better than being close to LAX I guess. I don’t fear flying but do have horrible ear pressure issues.

Congrats to winners, Janelle, and you. How exciting on the wedding! You go, hug your daughter, cry, hug your daughter, and have a great time. What an adventure weddings are, and I know you have gone through a lot getting it ready.

When it comes to helicopters, I haven’t been in one but think it would be fun to take a ride in one on tour of the city. I’ve ridden in the small planes (less than five people would fit) with family flying it and that was a fun but wild experience. You feel every bump. I think the view would be amazing.
