As you all know…our daughter got married last weekend and we have been babysitting our 5 year old grand daughter all week while the kids are on their honeymoon in Mexico.
After the Princess gets home from school, eats dinner and does her homework…we have been coming up with various fun activities to keep her busy. A few nights ago hubby whipped up some Glow-in-the-Dark Blowing Bubbles and she absolutely loved them!
They are supper easy to make and here is how he made them.
1 Large Bottle of Blowing Bubbles (dollar store)
1 Pkg. Glow-in-the-Dark Sticks (dollar store)
Scissors
Stir Stick
1 Empty Mason Jar
You will want your kids to wear old clothing while playing with these types of bubbles as those splatters can stain clothes.
He poured half of the bubble solution into an empty mason jar. He then cut off the ends on 3 glow sticks and poured the “glow” solution into the mason jar with the bubbles solution. He used a stir stick to stir them together.
He put an old t-shirt of his on Gia that fit her like a dress to cover up her clothing and then left her loose out into the yard to blow her glow-in-the-dark bubbles. She had a lot of fun with those things!

I love this, great for those nights when the sun goes down early and the kids are wide awake. Thanks for sharing.
I absolutely love this. My boys and the dog love bubbles. I will definitely try this. Thank you!
I want to do this sometime.
This is a great idea. It was very clever of your husband to come up with this project. I think that it is something kids of any age would enjoy doing.
This is really a neat idea. I love it!
Love these on the cheap ideas and playing with bubbles is just fun at any age. Just takes me back .
Fun! A great activity or could even be a science experiment. My granddaughter loves bubbles and enjoyed colored bubbles. These would be great to try with her. Thanks. I never thought of anything like this.
I can believe that old clothes are needed for this activity. Lots of fun.
This is such a great idea I would have loved to do this when I was a kid heck I think I want to do this as an adult this is so clever. I had no idea that they sold glow sticks at the dollar store either.
What a genius idea! This would be fun for me to make for my niece. Thanks for the idea we will be making these real soon.
