Father of the Bride – Getting His Groove On

September 16, 2014 by Shelly

Father of the Bride Dancing at the WeddingHere on the Two Classy Chics blog we don’t feature our “guys” nearly enough and that is about to change! For my “Almost” Wordless Wednesday post this week I am featuring a photo that I took of my hubby and daughter dancing at the wedding.

This was their father daughter dance…it started out normal doing a slow dance for about 10 seconds. After that, they did a choreographed hip hop routine to a dance mix that their dance teacher came up with. It was hysterical and all of the guests busted out laughing watching them dance!

Yup, the old man (my hubby) is going to be 53 next month and can still “bust a move” when he needs to! He had a few JD & Coke’s in him before the dance and immediately afterwards…a few more! LOL He was tanked and we had a hard time keeping him off the dance floor all night!

Seriously though…we had a great time and it was nice to see my old man out having some fun for once! Memories for sure!

I think that that is a dance to remember- much better than just the traditional father and daughter dance. Your husband can really move.

Well, I couldn’t find the link to the video on your Facebook page, but I can tell from the picture here that they both were really into it! How fun, and as you said, what a great memory. 🙂

For some reason, I could NOT embed the video here on the blog in a blog post. For those of you who wanted to see it, I sent you a link on FB. Hopefully that will work. If not, I will figure out another way. it is really hysterical and is quite the rage around here!

That is awesome. So much fun, love, and friendship. It’s ok to bust a move at every age!

I saw the video! That is your husband and daughter! I thought their dance was awesome. They are both very good and what a neat way to celebrate their first dance at her wedding!

Can’t wait for the video!!! I love this. My heart melts at the same time as I laugh imagining this. How wonderful and special for them both to do this for each other. I’m so glad that they made it theirs and had fun with it. Yes, your hubby does look like he has moves and busting them out. How fun!

That is great! I cannot wait to watch it. I actually only have one of my grown children married off (happily) that is. The other two were just picking the wrongs gals I think. It’ better they wait till they know it’s really what they both want now days. Looking forward to watching your video, thanks-
