Easy Grilled Spicy Hamburgers Recipe

September 11, 2014 by Classystaff

There is nothing quite like the taste of a grilled burger. That smoky taste just adds so much to the favor of the meat. Kicking up the flavor of the meat is easy when you add some chili peppers and chili sauce to your meat. This recipe is fast to pull together and promises a delicious, spicy kick to your hamburger. Add some tasty cheese to calm it down a bit or spice it up even more with a Pepper Jack. So good!

2 lbs. lean ground beef
1/4 cup onions, finely chopped
2 mild green chili peppers, seeds remove, finely chopped – or 1 6 oz can
1 large egg
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cayenne
3 teaspoons chili sauce

In a large mixing bowl, combine together all ingredients. Shape meat mixture into 1/4 lb. patties and place onto a tray. Sprinkle additional salt and ground black pepper on top of each patty, if desired. Enjoy!

This is a simple recipe , but it completely changes the flavor of a hamburger. Obviously it can also be fried in a pan if there is no grill handy – or a grill pan.

Too often, I just grill plain burgers and rely on topping for flavor. These spicy burgers would be a great change, with lots of built-in flavor (although I’d probably use a bit less cayenne, because I’m chicken that way). Thanks for sharing your recipe.
