To say my dog is particular about his food and snacks is an understatement. He’s the only dog I know that will take one sniff of a treat and walk away if it doesn’t meet his discerning palate! My spoiled pooch, Colby, got to assist me with my recent review and he definitely didn’t walk away from this treat. We were sent a bag of Indigo Smokehouse Strips with 100 percent premium cuts of chicken and let me tell you, his tail won’t stop wagging when he sees me opening the bag.
Indigo Smokehouse Strips by PetSafe is a safe and natural healthy jerky alternative. There are no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives in this natural meaty treat, they don’t include any bi-products, they don’t contain corn, wheat or soy and they are packed with a smoked and cured flavor and vacuum sealed for freshness. Additionally, the Indigo Smokehouse Strips are made in the USA.
Most of the time, we feed Colby fresh chicken and beef mixed in with his kibble (as I said earlier, he’s just a tad bit spoiled). The day that I received these treats in the mail, we were having some friends over for dinner and as spoiled as he is, we try and limit feeding him our food from the table. He patiently waited that night for us to finish and that’s when I busted out this new treat. He seriously loved these little wonderful slices of meaty heaven. I think he did all of the tricks in his arsenal that night just to keep scoring more goodies. Sit, roll over, shake—even the dreaded high five. He HATES doing that trick, but he was high fiving everyone for a treat that night.
These treats come in two flavors –chicken (which is the one that Colby reviewed) and bacon—and are available in a variety of sizes. We received the 6 ounce package, which should last us about a month or so. What I thought was really useful, was the enclosed plastic, re-sealable bag that keeps the treats fresh when stored in the fridge.
It is available for $9.99 on the web site, which seems like a great price for such a high-quality product. I’m sure your furry pal will love them just as much as mine did. Colby definitely gives the Indigo Smokehouse Strips 10 out of 10 tail wags for sure!

I think the Triple Chews sound good. I like it when a dog chew lasts for while.. Most chews don’t last very long! And I do NOT like any chew that doesn’t digest, so these sound good, worth a try.

PetSafe has lots of things other than treats on their website, and I found a toy that our dog Otis would love: The Busy Buddy Football. Not only could he play with it as a fun catch-toy, but it’s designed to hold a dog bone, so he’d get some chewing in there, too.
