Hershey Kisses Street Lights

August 19, 2014 by Shelly

Hershey Kisses Street LightsAs most of you know…I live in south central Pennsylvania which is a beautiful area of the state. We live 10 minutes from downtown Harrisburg and 15 minutes from downtown Hershey. Yes, Hershey as in Hershey Chocolate Town where the famous Hershey’s Chocolates are made. (well, some of them!).

One thing you may not of known is that some of the downtown streets in Hershey are lined with Hershey Kiss Street Lights! Some of them are faux “chocolate” and some of them are faux “silver wrapped” kisses!

Our tourist season here begins in April and runs through the middle of October. Tourists from all over the world flock to Hershey, PA every year to have fun at Hersheypark Amusement Park, ZooAmerica, the Hershey Story Museum, Hershey Chocolate World, etc. There are a ton of fun things to see and do in Hershey!

Well there you have it! Another “Almost” Wordless Wednesday post for this week. Have you ever visited Hershey? If so, what did you do while you were here?

I did not know about the street lights being shaped like Hershey Kisses and some with silver and some just chocolate. I think that they look great. I have never been to Hershey and it is on my bucket list. I love chocolate.

Oh WoW I love those, I’ve told you that I want to visit Hershey PA so bad, its been on my bucket list for a long while now but I think if I keep mentioning it to my husband he will probably never take me since I bring it up at least 2-3 times a week, seriously, I talk about it alot, LOL, He says, Yeah one of these days we will go, but I want to go soon, like this weekend, but he always says ” just wait until ? ” (he always has some reason why we cant go at the current moment ) and were not too far away, maybe a 3-4 hr drive from Ohio, I think it would be awesome to see those big Hershey Kiss lamp posts if I were driving down the street, you are so-oo lucky to live so close to it. I think he will take me eventually (just to shut me up, LOL)
Thanks for sharing the pic’s and again you are so lucky to live that close, I know it must smell like chocolate heaven when you’re near the park. And my husband is the biggest Hershey Chocolate eater/ lover ever, he eats Hershey’s chocolate everyday, I mean everyday, he loves it so I know once he was there he would be so happy to be around all that chocolate and be thanking me for making him take me… I am a Reese cup addict, I think I could eat a zillion reese cups unless someone stopped me, hahaha

Those are the coolest streelights I’ve ever seen! And it looks like they cast the light down, which is more efficient and helps minimize light pollution. Bonus!

I’ve never been to Hershey, but it’s on my bucket list. Have I ever mentioned that I’m a chocoholic? Hershey is like my Mecca. 🙂

Those are so cool! I have never visited Hershey, but I would love to take my sister. She loves chocolate and the original chocolate bar is still one of her favorites. I take her a few every time I go visiting.

How cute and unique! I would like to go to Hershey. I haven’t been to he northeast but have always wanted to. It’s fun when cities play up what they are known for or their name represents.

These lights are cute. It sounds like a great place to live and it looks really beautiful. I had no idea that there were so many things to do there. I would love to go there someday thanks for sharing this one and have a great day.
