Help For Dehydrated Skin from Heaven + URTH Skincare

August 28, 2014 by Kristine

My skin and I were recently introduced to a great product by Heaven + Urth called Beelieve Hydration Balm. I have been reviewing this product for a few weeks and I’ve really been enjoying the results my skin is seeing from this high-quality, skin-quenching dream balm. Before I give you the scoop on my experience with this product, let me tell you a little bit about the company.

Heaven + Urth was created by two experienced estheticians and beauty experts at an Orange County, Calif. day spa. Crystal Surmanian (owner) and Tanya Robertson (partner) noticed that nearly all of their clients were seeking a treatment for severely dry and dehydrated skin. Simple moisturizers were not doing the trick and after coming to the conclusion that there were very few deep skin treatments in the beauty business, Crystal and Tanya headed down the path of researching and testing the best natural oils and ingredients, seeking the perfect combination to help their clients. The result was the creation of Beelieve Hydration Balm.
Heaven + URTH Skincare beelieve hydration balm
Beelieve Hydration Balm is a daily remedy designed to conquer extremely dry, dehydrated skin and can be used all over the body. I used it on my elbows, feet and even on my face and décolletage. This super hydrating product is non comedogenic so it won’t clog pores, which is always a worry I have when I use something new on my face. I used a very small amount of the balm (pea sized) in the evenings and while it feels a bit thick at first, my skin drank it in quickly and my skin felt incredibly moisturized and healthy. Beelieve Hydration Balm 100% natural and contains some truly amazing ingredients, such as:

• Olive oil which is rich in vitamins, antioxidants and oleic acid. It protects against damaging free radicals, plumps and improves skin elasticity.

• Beeswax for locking in moisture, promoting new cells, and protecting skin from damaging environmental factors. It works as a soothing and healing agent.

• Coconut oil strengthens the skin’s tissue deeply and eliminates dead skin cells more than the average moisturizer. It also contains antiviral & antifungal properties.

• Grapeseed oil helps to even out skin tone and is chock-full of antioxidants to combat free radicals which can cause premature wrinkling.

• Jojoba oil for restoring adequate moisture to the skin without blocking pores and is capable of destroying some acne-causing skin bacteria. It is a natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.

• Calendula Oil is mild and soothing and has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antibacterial & antifungal properties-ideal for treating a number of skin disorders and infections.

• Vitamin E is an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-aging vitamin that has been known to regenerate dead skin cells with new ones and heal scar tissue.

Beelieve Hydration balm also contains lavender oil and sweet orange oil. Both are used in aromatherapy treatments and add that special something to give the product a subtle and relaxing scent. It’s perfect for after bath and before bed. If you are like me, a winding down ritual is a must.

Overall this is a top-quality product that truly helped make my Sahara-like, sensitive skin look and feel smoother and softer. The product costs $39.00 for a two ounce jar. It comes with a wooden spoon/applicator and is wrapped up in an adorable burlap drawstring bag, which makes it a perfect gift as well.

I learned that it is NON COMEDOGENIC (DOES NOT CLOG PORES). This is awesome. I usually think that thicker moisturizer, especially with beeswax and oils, that it would clog pores. I am happy to see that is not the case.

That jojoba oil has acne fighting properties. I’ve always wanted a cleansing oil for removing my make up before cleansing but didn’t want to worsen my oily, acne prone skin but now I can double fight the acne by using an oil to make sure all my make up is broken down and removed when I finish my night routine and using jojoba to do it!
