Favorite Ice Cream Flavors

August 5, 2014 by Shelly

coldstone creamery ice creamGood morning everyone! I didn’t sleep well last night as I am fighting another migraine headache. I get them about twice a week and they drive me absolutely CRAZY! It is really hard to work when I have them because my head is pounding so badly, my eyeballs hurt and well…I just feel miserable this morning.

Anyway, that brings me to our topic for today. After discussing milkshakes yesterday, I am in the mood for ICE CREAM today! I would love to know what type of ice cream is your favorite flavor? Do you make it yourself or is it a certain brand that you buy? How often to you indulge in a bowl of ice cream? Any particular toppings that you like?

One of my favorite places to get ice cream is Coldstone Creamery and I usually get the cheesecake ice cream with blueberries & strawberries mixed into it. YUMMY good!

We also make a lot of homemade ice cream with our ice cream maker. We enjoy making chocolate with peanut butter swirls, chocolate with marshmallow, raspberry pecan, butter pecan, blueberry and so forth. We rarely make a plain vanilla around here.

I love a good vanilla ice cream and my favorite flavor is chocolate chip. I enjoy many other flavors , especially if I make them myself

I indulge in a Bowl of ice cream usually a couple times a month. I love Hot Fudge poured over French Vanilla Ice Cream. Haven’t had that in a long time! Yummy! Sorry to hear that you get Migraine Headaches, I have never suffered from them. My Husband and both my Daughters dd. So I know the pain you go through. I do get an aggravating headache over my right eye here lately. I may need to get that checked out if I keep getting them. Have a Good Day & God Bless!

My confession for today is that I haven’t broken out my ice cream maker yet this summer, and I don’t think I used it last summer, either. I guess one reason is that I find it hard to devote the freezer space to ice cream; it’s pretty full of things like chicken stock and chili.

The best ice cream I’ve made is based on Nutella with some Frangelico added for a flavor boost. So good!

Is there any way I could talk you into sharing your blueberry ice cream recipe? The blueberry crop here in Maine is starting to come in, and I’m excited to start enjoying them.

Boy it has been awhile since I have had ice cream. I usually just get Umpqua chocolate and peanut butter. I don’t have it that often only when I have a super craving. It has been so many years since I have had homemade ice cream it is the best. I really want to get one of those homemade ice cream machines.

I’ve never been to Coldstone but will have to try it. I love Sheridan’s Custard for something different. You can’t go wrong with homemade vanilla ice cream and homemade chocolate syrup on it. It’s a wonderful treat that I only do on the Fourth of July. When buying, I love chocolate almond. It’s my favorite. My husband likes butter brickle which is hard to find anymore. Everything is butter pecan. Chocolate syrup is a great topping for ice cream, and I just tried the York Dark Chocolate Peppermint Ice Cream Syrup. It’s something I would definitely buy again.

I have only been to Coldstone once or twice but I remember the visits well as the ice cream was incredible!! I love chocolate ice cream but cheesecake anything – ice cream, cookies, pie etc – will always win out! We don’t indulge much except for the occasional milk shakes but this is the time of year one thinks about ice cream a lot!
Hope you feel better soon! I eventually outgrew my migraines. One of the very few good things about getting older, I guess. Stress was always a trigger for me and Zoloft was the key.

I don’t know ColdStone flavors, but my favorite ice cream is vanilla bean. I have a birthday cold stone coupon I need to use this week!

Yummmmmmmm Coldstone. I have not had one of their delights in a while but when I do go, I like the German Chocolate Cake. It is yummy with brownies, coconut and chocolate sauce. How can that be bad?

I love homemade vanilla bean ice cream, and I also go crazy for vanilla ice cream with peanut butter cups mixed in! We have a Graeter’s here in KY and they make the best Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip with the biggest chunks of chocolate that I have ever seen! I highly recommend trying it if you are every near a Graeter’s!
