These are great safety tips for the summer or any hot day. When I was young we never applied enough sunscreen, but I did better with my own kids.

  2. Great post thanks for all of the information. I have also heard of children getting burned on playground slides that are too hot so remember to check the playground equipment for temperature.

    • Exactly/ I meant to add that one, but forgot. I remember many times burning my bootay! 🙂

Great safety tips! There are so many things to watch out for because of the heat and because everyone else is outside enjoying the weather also and they might not be as careful as you are!

Great check list and things to watch for. We often get so involved with having fun in the sun that we forget it can be dangerous. Pets, kids, and adults all need to be careful. From staying hydrated to sunscreen, it’s good to be aware of how long you are outside and how hot you are. If a family member is out working in the heat, check on them often. I also like where you talk about playground safety and wear. Shoes are great. Remember that swings and slides can become so hot they’ll burn you. Have fun but be careful too.
