Spellbinders Celebrations Paper Craft Kits
I love crafting…matter of fact, I have another blog that is solely dedicated to crafts! I dabble in all kinds of different crafting mediums but my favorites are paper crafts, especially scrapbooking.
Today I wanted to introduce you all to a fun collection of craft supplies from Spellbinders. The supplies that I will be showing you today are all from the Celebrations product line and are readily available via various retailers online and offline.
The collection that I am featuring is by Richard Garay and the entire collection includes dies, stamps, paper, inks & accessories that are all coordinated to work perfectly together. You can create one-of-a-kind greeting cards, gifts, scrapbook layouts and more.
For the review I received 2 of the little craft kits to check out for all of you. I received the Celebrate Party Hat Card kit and the Best Day Ever Treat Bag kit.
Each of the kits includes everything that you need except for a glue stick and scissors. You will need to supply those. In addition, they came with a full-color instruction sheet with step-by-step directions.
I first made the Celebrate Party Hat Card using all of the supplies from the kit. This took me less than 3 minutes to complete. I then moved onto the Best Day Ever Treat Bag project which took me less than 2 minutes to complete. Total time invested…5 minutes if that.
I think the Celebrate Party Hat Card is cute & adorable. However, I think the Best Day Ever Treat Bag is dumb. Sorry, just being honest here. I would BUY the party hat card kit but I would NOT buy the treat bag kit at all.
I do want to admit, I am a very experienced paper crafter and I own a ton of crafting supplies. I am very picky on what I purchase and I feel that the quality of materials in the cardmaking kit are “good” but the quality of materials in the treat bag are “poor”. I definitely could of came up with something prettier than that. Plus, the tags for the treat bag were poorly printed onto the cardstock…not a nice, crisp & clear image at all.
So, for this review…I am giving the cardmaking kit a 3 out of 5 stars and the treat bag a 1 out of 5 stars on my rating scale. I hate to be negative in any of my reviews but I simply was NOT impressed with that treat bag project at all.
In addition to the 2 kits…I received a little packet of clear rubber stamps with celebration “wording” on them. I opened them up and I thought the quality was terrible. I own a LOT of rubber stamps (traditional and clear) and these were not great. I am going to donate them to a local shelter that I know who has a women’s scrapbooking group for them to use.
