Today I would like to introduce you to the company called Learning Resources who makes a wide variety of educational toys and games for children. When you visit the Learning Resources web site…you can shop as a Parent or as a Teacher. Furthermore, you can shop by age group, category, by brand or by subject. I love how user-friendly the Learning Resources site is!
You will find activity sets & books, construction sets, active learning & play sets, discovery & exploration sets, electronic toys, games, puzzles, water & sand toys and a whole lot more! Everything on their site is extremely well-made and affordable.
New for 2014 is the New Sprouts Healthy Lunch Play Food Set from Learning Resources. If you have been following our blog for awhile now, you will already know that I LOVE all of the educational toys from this great company and this item is NO exception! It is fabulous!
The Healthy Lunch Set comes with:
* Market Basket
* Bowl
* Turkey Slice
* Lettuce Leaf
* Tomato Slice
* 2 Pretzels
* 2 Slices of Wheat Bread
* Yogurt Cup
* Strawberry
* Red Apple
* Blueberry Cluster
* Raspberry Cluster
* Carrot
I gave this set to my 5 year old grand daughter a few weeks ago and she loves it! She owns several of the play food sets from Learning Resources and one of the great things about this is that they can all mix ‘n match with one another.
All of the goodies are perfectly sized for a child’s hands and they all nestle within the market basket for storage. If they should get dirty, clean-up is a snap…just wipe then down with a little soap & water and then towel or air dry.
Our photos show Gia playing with her new play food set with her pretend kitchen. As you can see, they are perfectly sized to fit within the refrigerator, beverage dispenser, oven, stove-top, whatever. That is important to know because I have purchased play food before that was too small or too large for the standard size play kitchens & accessories (like plates, bowls, pots & pans). They are PERFECT!
This set is great because it contains all healthy foods, something we all need to be talking to our children about and teaching them to make healthier choices when it comes to eating food!
You can purchase the Learning Resources New Sprouts Healthy Lunch directly from Amazon for a really affordable price.
