Favorite Italian Foods

My husband is 100% Italian. When he was 4 years old his mother immigrated to the United States from Italy. He grew up eating some of the best Italian foods and let me tell ya, my mother-in-law is a fabulous cook!

I love Italian food but didn’t grow up on it. Now that I am an adult, I really appreciate a great tasting lasagna but I am picky…I like homemade lasagna noodles and not store bought junk.

The hubby will eat just about anything Italian. He is all over spaghetti & meatballs, lasagna, cheesy baked eggplant, rigatoni, baked ziti…etc. He loves the traditional Italian meal with the main dish, a salad, bread and a glass of Italian wine.

When it comes to Italian food…what are some of your favorites? Do you prepare this type of cuisine often or just enjoy it once in awhile as a special treat?
