Good morning everyone! The 3-day holiday weekend is almost upon us! I love it when a holiday falls on a Friday or a Monday!!! So much fun getting a “free” 3-day holiday weekend! Yay!
Today I would like to talk about your favorite birthstones and/or gemstone jewelry. Do you like your designated birthstone or do you gravitate towards a different gem?
I was born in the month of June so my birthstones are the Pearl and Alexandrite. I love pearls but don’t care for Alexandrite at all. Some of my favorite gemstones are: Russian Chrome Diopside, Diamonds, London Blue Topaz, Opal and Ametrine. What are yours?
Does your man like jewelry and gemstones? My hubby is not a big jewelry wearer but he does love black onyx and dark blue sapphires if he is wearing a gemstone piece.

As a July baby, I’ve always loved rubies, but I’ve never owned one; my budget leans more in the garnet direction. Nowadays I really like tourmaline. Unfortunately, I’ve pretty much given up wearing jewelry, even though I sometimes make beaded jewelry for gifts.
Russian Chrome Diopside is a new one for me–I don’t think I’ve ever even heard of it! Off to do an internet search to see what I’ve been missing.
I love my birthstone! My birthday is in July so my birthstone is the ruby. I am not big on the color red for most things but I love jewelry with rubies 🙂 I also love pearls and diamonds. My husband isn’t into wearing jewelry. He only wears his wedding band and a leather rope chain with a religious metal.
I love sapphires even though they aren’t my birthstone. I wear those more than anything. Now, I can in my grandmother’s necklace….my granddaughter was born in September. I was born in November, like my husband, and have never liked the yellow Topaz. It’s a good thing there are so many ones out there so everyone can find a gemstone to like.
I love my birthstone! Its the Aquramarine. I think I am fond of it mostly because my mother and daughter have the same one. We were all born in march. And it is such a pretty color! I do love pearls alot too though. Yay for holiday weekends!!!!

I like my birthstone which is amethyst for February. I like other gems too, such as pearls, topaz, turquoise, rubies, emeralds and diamonds. My husband doe not wear jewelry.
I love my December birthstone turquoise and have tons of the color in my wardrobe. I was able to get all my family birthstones on the JC Jewelry Designs necklace I won here back in March. I also love the topaz, which is my sister’s birthstone. My mom’s color is pink and I’m such a pink fan too. Excited to win the sparkly pink wristlet–yay!
My birthday is also in June. I had always seen the pearl, which I love, but I have never seen the Alexandrite. Where have I been?! It’s very pretty in pictures. My husband does not wear jewelry. He has one white gold chain he wears all the time and his wedding band, which he only wears when we go out. There is no way he would wear any birthstone jewelry! That’s okay, I can wear enough for the both of us!
