How many of you love to clean? How many of you despise it? Personally, I love to clean my house and every day I have cleaning projects that I like to work on. Yes, I admit…I am a cleaning fanatic!
One of the things I like to do when I am cleaning is to crank up the music. Some good heart-pounding and foot-stomping music always gets me going!

Oh, I most definitely listen to music when I clean (and it’s not nearly as often as I should). However, I’m guessing I’m going to be the only one commenting here that listens to J-pop/J-rock (Japanese pop and rock) while I clean. My daughters got me involved in it a number of years ago and I just love it! I do understand some (my middle daughter is fluent, though, and she helps translate what I can’t understand myself).

Some of our songs are around the same era, I love the 80’s. I usually put on the 80’s channel on my dish network. I love the hair bands to get me going such as Talk Dirty to Me, Rock you like a Hurricane.

Currently I am partially disabled, so my cleaning routine is different, very short and easy — so I haven’t been listening to music. But I remember when my girls were young I would put on their most upbeat music when we cleaned. Love doing that–maybe I’ll start again even tho my body doesn’t keep up.

I don’t like to disturb my neighbors although they blast their music, so not sure why I care. I also don’t want to miss a call or knock on the door so don’t usually wear headphones or earphones. I like AC/DC though, so great choices, especially Back in Black, one of my faves.
My go-to music is usually Peter Gabriel, although Steely Dan gets a lot of play around here, too. When I’m cleaning in the kitchen, though, I usually listen to NPR on the radio.
I only listen to music when washing the dishes. I wash them by hand and always have a lot. It isn’t enjoyable unless I listen to music 🙂 I play Treasure and Grenade by Bruno Mars.
