When I was 17 years old I had the pleasure of spending 21 days in Italy with my family. That was my real first experience with Italian cuisine since I was raised mainly on Mexican food. From that time on, I was in-love with everything that had to do with Italian food!
Many times I have search for some delicious authentic Italian cookies ~ Biscotti and have always been disappointed in what I find around here. Well, I am NOT disappointed any more!
Let me introduce you to Bella’s Biscotti based out of the great state of New Jersey. This company makes authentic Italian cookies that are handmade and twice-baked! Just the way that Biscotti should be made!
The company sent me 3 packages of Biscotti to try out for all of you. I received: Chocolate Cherry, Lemon and Classic Biscotti a la Anise & Orange. You can purchase your goodies in 1/2 lb. or 1 lb. packages.
We recently had several members of our family over to our home. I decided to place the Italian cookies out on a few serving plates & serve some coffee and hot cocoa with them.
Everyone here was surprised that I had gotten my hands on authentic biscotti and were in pure heaven! Seriously, this stuff is good!!!
My personal favorite out of the three was the Chocolate Cherry Biscotti but that Lemon ran a close second! My mother and my aunt were in-love with the classic while my husband was pigging out on the lemon. It was funny seeing everyone going after their favorite flavor and trust me, in less than 30 minutes, they were gone. Such piggies they are!
Shucks, I should of hidden it all and spoiled myself instead of sharing it with the family. If you have never tried the real Italian stuff, you should!!! It is 100% better than the junk you find at your local store!
