It is hard to believe…but…we are already doing our back-to-school shopping for the Princess. This year she will be officially entering all-day Kindergarten and is really excited about it.
I thought she would be nervous about it…but she is not. She attended preschool for 3 years so she is already used to the “school” routine.
We have been doing some shopping online but I have been finding better deals offline at the retail stores. Those clearance racks I have been finding are awesome! A few days ago I got her 9 pieces of clothing at Old Navy for $30 and 11 pieces of clothing + a backpack at Kohl’s for $40.00. I love deals!
Anyway, have you started back-to-school shopping yet? Where do you find your best deals? How much do you usually spend per child when it comes to buying the back-to-school essentials and clothing?

Yes gone are the days when you used your big sister or brother’s things. Kids expect everything new now and the latest version too. Quite expensive and you really have to find those bargains to save.
(Back-to-School Shopping for Kids) Man oh man do I remember doing this with my kids a few years back. It was a all day thing and we were all very tired when we finally got back home for the day. We always went on the tax free weekend day too.
Having grandkids that live in Florida, this is great time for me to go shopping. Our summer clearance equals almost year-round finds for them. My grandson is cold so this doesn’t work. But shorts and short sleeves work well for the others. August is when the clearance really comes alive normally, but there have been good deals online and off. Zulily and Children’s Place have recently had some blowouts, and Kohls always has deals going. I don’t have to buy a lot but look forward to all the finds.
Sorry I forgot to say Congratulations to the 2 winners
I too looked for sales when my kids were young. I found my best clothing deals on the clearance racks at different stores. The school supplies sales usually started a little later, whether at Staples or RiteAid
