Small Business Solutions with Office365 and GoDaddy

June 18, 2014 by Classystaff

This post brought to you by GoDaddy. All opinions are 100% mine.

Sometimes I think I have an identity crisis. As a small business owner, I have multiple businesses that I run along with my husbands small business too.  It can make for a long day and being tied to a computer is not the way I want to spend my day!  I need to be more mobile and yet still have access to my files, calendar and emails no matter where we are or where we are going. I cannot live without those 3 things and I found a cool solution with Office 365 from GoDaddy

Working on the cloud is becoming the norm and with our mobile devices becoming more like small computers now, it makes sense to be able to work anywhere. I was able to try out Office365 and test it for my small business and I have to say, it is pretty cool.

This product will allow you to work on business email from your domain, your attached website – through GoDaddy, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and OneNote. You can hold online meetings, conference calls, IM’s, and add your employees/team members to the account too, for file sharing, conferencing and more. All of this you can manage through your dashboard. Plus you can set it all up to run mobile.

The set up is all through GoDaddy and because I have a reseller account on my hosting through another provider, I did have some difficulties setting up the email by adding codes and records to your file. That took me a few days as I was trying to do it in between working and relying on the online support to help me for both my hosting and GoDaddy. If your hosting is with GoDaddy, it is all a breeze to do this. Their support was spot on and quite quick.  After this experience, I may be moving my hosting over to them!

Once I got it all figured out and working right, it is a matter of going though the dashboard and setting up your permissions to access the options. It is all rather simple. You can see from the screenshot that they walk you through each step and offer help at any time.

This is all pretty easy to work with and something that I can even teach my mildly computer illiterate hubby to work on with a few lessons. I would love it if he took over more of his own business duties! But honestly, this is fabulous for my business as I work with small businesses, often at their place of business or at local coffee shops. I can access my info needed for a presentation without having to stress that I left my flash drive at home or I find myself offering an impromptu presentation meeting.

The Office365 through GoDaddy is perfect for businesses like mine that are small, with no IT department. Their 24/7 support is great and you get a seamless way to run your business and  collaborate with others all from your dashboard.  It is a great option that you should check out with this .

I have a small business on Etsy. It hasn’t taken off yet, but I’m looking to see what software can help me with it. Right now I’m using excel and I’m not real happy with it.

My daughter is just starting up her insurance business and I will be the office manager. The Office 365 would definitely help us stay organized and keep track of our business contacts to name just a few.

I don’t own one myself but I do have to travel a LOT for work and would be able to keep up with my office work while on the road. Plus I do a side project of my own that this could really help get going
