I recently received a big box full of goodies from Slimfast for review and was fully armed with everything I needed to commit myself to the 14- Day Slimdown. Included in the Slimbox was a four pack of the pre-made Cappuccino Delight Protein Meal Shake, a four pack of the new Limited Edition Pina Colada Protein Meal Shake, one of the Creamy Milk Chocolate Protein Shake Mixes (to mix up my own shake), the gimme some GREEK YOGURT & HONEY Snack Bars and some of the new Have Your Cake …Meal Bars. I had everything I needed to give myself a jumpstart into getting my body bathing suit ready for summer. Bring on the 14-Day Slimdown!

Whether you want to fit back into your favorite jeans, show off a great beach body or maybe just drop a few pounds before an upcoming class reunion, Slimfast can help you achieve your goals. According to a recent Slimfast study, 9 out of 10 women keep clothing in the wrong sizes hanging around in their closets. I know I do! Just hoping that I’ll be able to fit back in them again.

In order to get the best results from this program, the company recommends that you swap two meals per day for Slimfast products and make the third one a 500-calorie meal. You can enjoy three 100-calorie snacks or pieces of fruit a day. It’s a fairly easy program to incorporate into your life—they call it the “3-2-1” plan—but you have to be diligent and be sure not to exceed 1200 calories per day. It’s also recommended to do 30 minutes of light to medium exercise a day and drink lots and lots of water. If this plan is followed, results can lead to a four to six pound weight loss in the first two weeks.

I’ve tried quite a few weight loss plans and programs over the years and while I did enjoy the taste of these products, I found myself struggling a bit to stick with it. I have to say my favorite item was the Take the Cake…meal bars. They were sweet and decadent and definitely helped satisfy this girl’s sweet tooth. I would have one in place of breakfast, because I am the kind of person who thinks it is perfectly acceptable to eat cake for breakfast! The bar even has festive colored sprinkles on it—gotta love that! I also really enjoyed the Pina Colada shake. It was so refreshing and delicious.

I have lost almost four pounds in the time I’ve been doing it (not quite two weeks yet), but full disclosure here—I didn’t follow the program to the letter and I ate a lot at my birthday dinner last Saturday night. While the “Take the Cake…” bars are delish, I happily stuffed my cakehole with the real thing. Yes, I’m guilty of not only falling off the wagon, but also leaping off of it with gusto! Still, I’m pleased that I’m down a few pounds and plan to incorporate the Slimfast products into a more healthy diet moving forward.
