Protecting My Skin with emerginC’s Broad Spectrum Sun Block

June 24, 2014 by Shelly

I am going to let you in on a little secret…I wear sun block year round! That’s right, every time I go outside of my house and will be outside for more than 15 minutes, I have sun block on my skin. It is something that I “must” do since I suffer with Porphyria and Solar Dermatitis.

When it comes to sun block and sunscreens, I am really fussy about the brands and types that I use. I look for ones that are at least an SPF 30 and offer broad spectrum protection. This means, it must block UVA/UVB sun rays!!! In addition, I want a sun block that doesn’t have a stinky odor, one that absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave my skin greasy or block my pores. Yes, I require a lot!

Recently I was given the chance to try out emerginC’s SPF 30+ Broad Spectrum Tinted Sun Block. I have used several of the emerginC products in the past and was pretty excited to give this one a try. It is recommend for all skin types and is formulated with additional hydrators, vitamins, antioxidants and herbal extracts.emerginC's Broad Spectrum Sun Block

SPF 30+ contains all natural ingredients to protect and nourish the skin, including vitamin C, which improves tone & texture by removing dead skin cells, ultimately diminishing the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles. The SPF 30+ also uses the antioxidant power of vitamin E and green tea, as well as the soothing & hydrating effects of aloe vera, which also stimulate cell growth. In addition, you will find sea buckthorn extract, licorice root, maritime pine bark extract and panthenol as part of the active ingredients.

As you all know, I was recently on a beautiful vacation. The sun at the Jersey Shore can be pretty intense on most days since it reflects off of the ocean water. I decided to try out this sun block and was immediately impressed with it because it didn’t have any stinky odors, absorbed quickly onto my skin with no greasiness and I found that I had to apply it a lot less than my old sun block which is fantastic! I hate having to lube myself up every 20-30 minutes.

I found that I got excellent coverage and protection with this sun block. My mother and husband also used it while we were on vacation and they loved it too. You should always apply your sun block frequently, especially after swimming or perspiring too much. One final thing…I love that this product is paraben-free!

You can learn more about this product and the other products made by emerginC by visiting their web site. The products can be purchased online or at various spas nationwide.

I do appreciate a sunblock that does other things too. This one does so much more since it contains all natural ingredients to protect and nourish the skin, including vitamin C, and even diminishes the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles.
