Design & Drill Socket to Me Toy Set

Today I would like to introduce you to the company called Educational Insights based out of Southern California. Educational Insights is the manufacturer of playful products with serious educational value, including subject-specific classroom products, teacher resources, educational toys, and games. The company sent me the Design & Drill Socket to Me Set to review for all of you. I was pretty excited about this one because I don’t have very many “boy” toys here in my home. When my nephews and god son visit, often times they play with Gianna’s toys, so now I finally have a boy toy!

This particular set is made for children ages 4 and up. You will want to adhere to that age guideline due to the small parts which can pose a choking hazard. What is really cool about this set is that no batteries are required! Yay!

The set includes:

1 socket wrench with forward & reverse switch
4 shaped activity boards
30 multi-colored bolts

The 4 design projects included are: Boat, Race Car, Robot and the Rocket.

My Thoughts: I love toys and games that don’t require batteries! That is a huge plus for me these days! All little boys love play tools and this set is no exception. My god son loves this set and as a god mother, I love that the set allows him to sit still and to get creative while improving his fine motor skills.

Besides the 4 projects that are included, your child can come up with their own designs/projects. Plus, Educational Insights sells additional products to go along with this one like the Design & Drill Screwdriver, Extra packs of Bolts, Design & Drill Drill and so forth. Your child can really build up a collection of these items which will really expand their design horizons!

We love this set and I will tell you a little secret: My grand daughter and hubby love playing with it too!
