Battroborg Motion-Controlled Battling Robots Game

Battroborg Motion-Controlled Battling Robots GameBattroborg, the award-winning motion-controlled battling robots game from TOMY that paved the way for a new generation of battling. This fun and inter-active game is for the older kids (ages 6 and up) and adults.

Battroborg requires 8 AA batteries that you need to supply. Other than that, it is ready to go right out of the box. You can find this fabulous toy/game at Walmart across the nation.

The set includes:

* 2 Robots
* 4 Drones (cardboard)
* Fighting Ring (some assembly required)
* 2 remote control sticks

After receiving this, I had hubby sit down and read through all of the instructions. He then spent about 10 minutes assembling the fighting ring and getting everything ready. With our set, we got 2 of the fighting robots but there are 8 in total that you can purchase. Kids love to collect them all, so if buying the game as a gift, pick up a few extra robots while you are at it.

The fighting ring can be set up 2 different ways: (a) The 1-on-1 Gauntlet and (b) the Combat 1. If using it on the 1-on-1 Gauntlet set-up…you will want to have the one robot fight the 4 cardboard robots which stand along the side of the ring but behind the ropes. This is great for when you have ONLY 1 child playing.

The Combat 1 set-up is for when you have 2 or more children (or adults) playing at once. This is where all of the robots fight one another in the middle of the ring.

We invited our 15 year old and 13 year old nephews over to our house to spend some “family” time with us. They were really excited to see the Battroborg game set up and waiting for them to play. The boys love inter-active, fighting-action games like this.

Hubby spent about 5 minutes showing them how to play and how the remote control sticks worked. After that, they were on their own and quickly had their robots fighting one another. I apologize for the “darkish” photos, we had just lost power from a storm so they were playing it with just natural daylight coming in one of my windows.

Battroborg 2

I have to admit, this is one cool game/toy! After they played for an hour, I got in on the action and got my butt kicked by the 13 year old. Geesh! When the robot is moving around and doing his fighting moves…there is a light that lights up on his “backpack” which was really cool when playing the game at night or when lights are dim.

Overall, the boys love this game! Since receiving it, they have been over 3 times to play it and now they got my husband hooked on it too. They all give it a HUGE 2-thumbs up!

    I remember a game like this that my sons used to love to play when they were young. It looks like a lot of fun and it is amazing how quickly a child can acquire the skill to use the game.

  2. I can see my boys playing with this for hours! I am going to add this to the Christmas List! Thanks for the review!
