Sweet Filthy Boy by Christina Lauren

May 10, 2014 by Classystaff

There have been a few series that I know I automatically have to click the Buy button as soon as it hits the street or in many cases, just pre-order it so I have it as soon as it is released to the book sellers. The books that I have reviewed previously by dynamic writing duo Christina Lauren have proven that their books are on the auto ship list for me. I was excited to open the package this their latest release to review and to be able to share it with my romance lovers.

Synopsis: The New York Times bestselling author of Beautiful Bastard, Beautiful Stranger, and Beautiful Player starts a brand new story of friends, love, and lust with Book One of the Wild Seasons series.

One-night stands are supposed to be with someone convenient, or wickedly persuasive, or regrettable. They aren’t supposed to be with someone like him.

But after a crazy Vegas weekend celebrating her college graduation — and terrified of the future path she knows is a cop-out — Mia Holland makes the wildest decision of her life: follow Ansel Guillaume — her sweet, filthy fling — to France for the summer and just…play.

When feelings begin to develop behind the provocative roles they take on, and their temporary masquerade adventures begin to feel real, Mia will have to decide if she belongs in the life she left because it was all wrong, or in the strange new one that seems worlds away.

My Thoughts: Ah! It started out so innocently. Another book about a wild, let loose trip to Las Vegas where the crazy girls have a fling and playfully get married – just for fun, and to have a story to tell 30 years from now. Except the authors, being who they are, this book is anything by typical.

One of the things that strikes me about this book is the way you can feel every emotion in the characters. Mia is uncomfortable with her life and family. She is living someone else’s dream and the trip to Vegas is a great way to celebrate her college graduation with the girls. Until she meets the eye of a delicious stranger across the bar and feels something different about herself – peace. She makes a crazy decision that will change the path of her life forever. With extreme detail, you get to follow along on Mia and Ansel’s adventure.

The authors really know how to get into the heads of their characters and they have created two wonderful people that are struggling to understand the situation they have fallen into. Ansel is a sweet gentleman with a definite streak of Hotness that would make any lady fall for him. With a French lifestyle, he is simply delicious, wonderfully naughty and he makes Mia feel different and good about herself. Mia is a delicate woman that touches his heart and together they have to figure out their stressful situation.

The authors are extremely talented and know how to capture your heart with their characters. This book is a combination of fun, flirty, and fabulous steam and romance, plus a bit of the uncomfortableness you get with a new romance. That butterfly, flipping in the tummy feeling is not only in the characters, but also in you as you read this story, cheering on their new found love. Definitely a steamy hot summer read. Cannot wait until the others in the series come out. I will be in line!

Wow . This review really made me feel that I have to read this book. The authors have made an in-depth study of the personalities in such a way that I won”t be able to put down the book until I finish it. Thanks for the review.
