Are You Related to Anyone Famous?

May 6, 2014 by Shelly

crocusflowersGood morning everyone! Happy Tuesday! Did you all do anything special for Cinco de Mayo yesterday? We enjoyed a Mexican feast that was super delicious! I really pigged out and then ended up with a big tummy ache as I am not used to eating that much food in one sitting. Sigh, I paid a heavy price late last night!

Today’s Topic: Today we would like to know if you are related to anyone famous? It can be past or present time? I know some people trace their roots and finds all kinds of interesting family facts.

For myself personally, no one currently. But, in my heritage I am related to King George. I have a rare genetic disease called Porphyria which can be traced back to King George, so some where along the lines I have some royal blood.

Yes, I am related to someone famous and all my life it has been more of a pain in the neck than anything else! Only once did I benefit (I didn’t ask, was just offered) when I was younger but nothing life changing. I’d rather win one of your contests!

I haven’t traced my roots, and I am not related to anyone famous that I know of.

my cousin traced a side of my family tree back to 1410, so there were lots of saints and sinners, paupers and kings…..kind of fun but no one famous in the last couple hundred years.

I do not think that I am related to anyone famous. I would have to trace my linage back and see. I have not done this. That is interesting that you are related to King George. I had a great Mexican meal yesterday!

Congrats to the Winners! Didn’t do anything special yesterday, still trying to get better from my latest Lupus flare. But my son, who takes great pride that his grandmother is Mexican, celebrated with his friends and had a great time. I’m not related to any famous, but this is a great topic of conversation!

Congratulations winners and everyone! Happy Tuesday!
I have that problem with Mexican, too. It’s just soo good I don’t want to stop…later regretting it. Hope you are feeling better now. It’s just hard to pass up something that you love. You keep saying last bit but one more bite calls to you. My daughter is really good about putting half her Mexican plate in a to go box before we ever begin eating. That way the bite that calls to her is the last bite. 🙂
I don’t think I’m related to anyone “famous.” On the other hand, several of my relatives are “famous” in my eyes. 🙂

    Congratulations to the 4 winners.
We didn’t have any special meal for Cinco de Mayo. I am still recovering from diverticulitis and am watching what I eat. I am glad you enjoyed your meal, but sad that you paid such a heavy price for overindulging. Sometimes it is very hard when you love to eat something and/or feel hungry, but you know that if you eat the item you will feel sick.
For example, I love nuts, but was told never to eat them again. We’ll see…
I am related to Albert Einstein – I believe that he was the first cousin of a second cousin.
