RAW ELEMENTS Physical Sunscreen Skin Protection

May 14, 2014 by Classystaff

Oh to be young again, knowing what we know now. If I could go back in time, one of the things I would definitely do differently is protect my skin much better. Back in the day, we would bake in the sun for hours with nothing but baby oil to get a deep, dark tan. Years later, I was still tanning outdoors but my biggest regret is the years and years of driving for work with no sun protection on my face. Today, I am seeing the results of those years on the road with the sun pounding the left side of my face, unknowingly. Additional wrinkles and spots that shouldn’t be there and showing up now. Today I also make sure to tell my son about the dangers of excessive exposure to the sun especially since he swims daily.

Using just any sunscreen is not something I would ever do. My uncle has had skin cancer for years and he is told to apply a chemical laden sunscreen which I think is just as bad as having no protection at all. All natural product is what I look for and I was pleased to be able to try out and review some new sunscreens that are all Non GMO natural and organic. I am hooked.
RAW ELEMENTS Physical Sunscreen Skin Protection
RAW ELEMENTS Physical Eco Protection Sunscreen is the only Non GMO Project verified sunscreen line in the USA and they offer 3 products that will fit your lifestyle just right. I was sent one of each to review for you:

ECO FORMULA 30+ Lotion
Active Ingredient: Zinc Oxide 23%

ECO STICK 30+
Active Ingredient: Zinc Oxide 22.75%

ECO TINT STICK 30+
Active Ingredient: Zinc Oxide 22.75%

Natural Ingredients: Organic Sunflower Oil, Organic Green Tea, Organic Black Tea, Organic Coffee, Organic Hemp Seed Oil, Organic Cocoa Butter, All Natural Mango Butter, Organic Beeswax, All Natural Rosemary Oil Extract, All Natural Vitamin E ***All Ingredients Marked Organic Are USDA Certified Organic.

Compare any of these to any of the sunscreens that you get at the store and you will see there is no comparison! I was most interested in the ECO Stick with Tint as I like to wear as little makeup as possible when I am working at home or running errands. Having a product like this means that I don’t have to worry much when I take breaks by the pool or I decide to work a bit in the yard during the day since my face will be protected. Plus there is a non tinted one too for those that prefer that instead.

The ECO Sticks come in small roll up tube, much like a solid deodorant container. The product is very dense and smells a bit like chocolate! Can’t go wrong there. The product is beautifully hydrating along with all of the protection it gives you due to the body butters and oils that do wonderful things for your skin. I simply glide the product across my face and lightly blend in it in. The tinted Eco Stick has a light tint to it that blended well with my skin and the Non tinted is a white solid, that applies clear. Just right for wearing anytime and even under my makeup! Both of these are water resistant up to 80 Minutes!

The lotion comes in a nice fat tube that dispenses the lotion easily. This cream is thick and applies white but blends in wonderfully. I love the thick lotion because it is so full of rich ingredients that not only protects your skin but also moisturizes it too. This too, lasts up to 80 minutes of sun with swimming and sweating included! Apply often for best results and protection.

All of the RAW ELEMENTS sunscreens are good for your skin and seem to have done a good job protecting my skin. It is just now getting overly hot here so I know that these will get a great workout this summer, by myself and my son!

Even with generous amounts of melanin pigment it barely offers any protection against the sun rays.

I learned that there are numerous changes to label requirements and laws which is great. Sunccreens will now state on the label weather the product is rated for forty or eighty minutes when exposed to moisture. ” rather than claiming to be waterproof. And also 50+ SPF and not make promises of 100SPF which are not as verifiable.
