Organic India Teas and Herbal CoffeeOrganic India carries an assortment of herbal teas, supplements, and herbal coffee that are as healing as they are delicious. There is sure to be a flavor that appeals to anyone looking to switch up the contents of that morning (or afternoon) cup.

I have a caffeine problem. I was doing well by replacing my morning cup of Joe with half-caf and decaf any other time of day, but then it happened. I stopped paying attention to my intake and got back to my three or four cups per day habit. There’s something about that hot beverage within arm’s reach while working at the desk. Or shopping. Or sitting on the porch in the morning. See, I just proved how addicted I am. The downsides of that extra caffeine are the iffy sleep and tummy troubles. The acidity tends to rub me the wrong way at times, and those times I push coffee aside for tea. The usual suspects are there, green, chamomile, Earl Grey, and traditional orange pekoe and black, but now they’re joined by a few boxed of Organic India teas. Organic India carries an assortment of herbal teas and coffees that can help anyone get past a coffee addiction deliciously.

Have you heard of Tulsi? It’s also call Holy Basil and is reported to pack a healing punch. It’s had adaptogenic properties, which means it adapts to your body and sends its healing power where you need it most. This Queen of Herbs is energizing, antioxidant-rich, supports the immune system, and stress-relieving. When Organic India offered a sample of Tulsi teas, I accepted without realizing just how much I’d like the flavors and appreciate the benefits of this ancient powerhouse.

Organic India Teas and Herbal Coffee

I tried the Original blend first. Original Tulsi Tea is a caffeine-free and surprisingly energizing blend with a slight citrus flavor. I did not have success sleeping after drinking it late in the evening (oops) but still find myself reaching for it for a boost when the 2-3 pm slump hits. I enjoyed this one black, with lemon, and slightly sweetened. Tulsi Pomegranate Green Tea combines the healing power of Holy Basil with the antioxidant-rich green tea and the punch of pomegranate.

While pomegranate is not one of my favorite fruits, it added a little spark to the afternoon cup. I liked this one best with added coconut milk and a little stevia. Tulsi India Breakfast Tea was perfect on early workdays. This blend has 25 mg. of caffeine per serving and gave me a boost without upsetting my stomach or leaving me jittery. I liked it straight, and with any combination of sweetener, lemon, and coconut milk.

Herbal coffee is something I’ve tried and sometimes not liked at all. There were some that I flat out hated and threw away after the first sad pot. But Teeccino Herbal Coffee a brand I like quite a bit. I was happily surprised to find a bag of the Maya Chocolate version in the package. This version has a hint of heat from chile flakes blended with carob, chicory, barley and chocolate. Delicious! I liked it straight while hubby preferred it with a little sweetener and milk. Teeccino Herbal Coffee is non-acidic, caffeine-free, prebiotic, and has a gram of soluble fiber in each serving. I love that I can drink it any time of day or night without fear of it interrupting my sleep. If you want a more traditional coffee experience, try the Maya French Roast version.

Organic India organic teas are delicious on top of their reported healing properties. Pick up a box or two and try them yourself. Boxed tea start at $4.79 and loose leaf starts at $8.99. Teeccino Herbal Coffee is $8.99 per bag. In addition to teas and Teeccino, Organic India carries an assortment of organic ghee and herbal supplements, including Tusli essential oil and Moringa tea.
