Satisfying My Snack Cravings with All Natural PITA PUFFS
I love snacks…who doesn’t? I mean really, who doesn’t love snacking on something sweet or salty? We all get cravings for snack foods and I admit, I am a big snack food-aholic! Luckily for me, I have a medical condition that requires me to carbo-load every day with a bunch of carbohydrates so snacking is something I do all day long.
For the past several years I have been in love with the all-natural tortilla chips from Food Should Taste Good (especially the sweet potato chips) and was pretty excited to hear about their new all natural PITA PUFFS. I knew I just had to try them!
The all natural PITA PUFFS come in 4 different delicious flavors: Cinnamon Sugar, Pesto, Multigrain and Chive. I really had a hard time deciding on which flavor to try out first so I went with the safe bet…Multigrain and I wasn’t disappointed! They are made from wheat, rye, oats, barley and brown rice. They tasted delicious and we demolished that entire bag in no time at all.
We decided to try the Cinnamon Sugar next which is a multigrain PITA PUFF featuring cane sugar, cinnamon and salt. Don’t let the word “sugar” scare you, they are just a tad sweet but the saltiness is what really gets me. You can’t eat just one, nope…an entire handful will do! Delicious and they were our favorites out of the four we tried.
That leaves the Chive and Pesto left and I have to admit…I didn’t get to try either one! My husband ran off with both bags and took them into work for his afternoon break. Sigh, I should of hidden them! The Chive flavor is a multigrain Pita Puff with seat salt and chives. The Pesto is a multigrain Pita Puff with basil, garlic and onion.
Once hubby returned for work I asked him about those two bags of snacks and he told me that he shared them with the guys during break. They all loved them and there was nothing left to bring back home. Geesh! Out of those two flavors, he told me the Chives were his favorite but both were very good. Oh well, next time I will try them for myself.
The Pita Puffs are delicious and I love their perfect snacking size. The best thing about them though is that they are all natural and a snack food that you can feel good about feeding to your family. I was equally impressed with their calorie count too. Approximately 34 Pita Puffs is only 120 calories with 40 fat calories. That is a LOT less calories than a candy bar or your favorite potato chips. Yay!!!
